Artisan Senses Hotels Collection 5a. Avenida -Adults Only- - 77710 Playa del Carmen

PROS: the attitude of the service is great, the bed is very comfortable, and it's a nice place to hang out with friends. Also, the location worked great for us, there are so many things like restaurants, clubs and stores near to the hotel, you can just go walking to any place. CONS: There was no water two nights in a row, and it took so many time to have water again. The TV had been working well for a few days, but the day of the superbowl, suddenly it just didn't work at all, you couldn't see any channel, we tried in three rooms and all were the same.

We spent 4 nights here. The room was very nice and the service was great. Nune was especially cordial and helpful, and made our stay very pleasant. On the down side: our room, 208, was right above the street, so every night the music from the downstairs club kept blaring into our room. It only stopped around midnight, after we insisted that the staff ask the club to keep it down. The hotel was kind enough to offer us a replacement room, but we were so tired after all the trips, that we just kept the room. But beware of rooms that face the street. Also, funnily enough, the bathroom has a see-through door... ‍️Strange and uncomfortable.

Great location, rooms are hot ac doesn’t work well, hot tubs in room are nasty from stains , sheets are stained up , they say free breakfast but you get 4 pieces of fruit and 2 slices of toast a cup of coffee and orange juice, the pictures that are on there website are nothing like it looks now, pool area is horrible. We was without tv for 2 days before someone told us there cable was out . Not happy at all with this hotel like I said only thing that is great is the location a bit noisy but I’m use to the noise so that didn’t bother me much

I would have a far superior stay at a Hotel 6 than this joke of a “boutique hotel”. Not one night we were able to take a shower after being an entire day out and about. They have no water at all and claim it’s an issue with the city’s water system. I even told the front desk person that is BS since every night we would have dinner restaurants or bars we dined in had water. The A/C at nights was non existent as well. The humidity and heat in our room 102 was unbearable. Locations is great but be prepared to listen to 5th Ave night traffic till it dies out! Never again are we staying in this hotel were basic needs are not met.

First thing first! We thought we were booking for their other hotel the Riviera maya and sadly we got Quinta. What’s wrong with the hotel: 1. No water pressure 2. Freezing ice cold water 3. No ice machine 4. No bar 5. We booked a suite with robes and spa and no robes no spa 6. No towels 7. A mini bar with 2 bottles of water that’s not a mini bar 8. Not what we needed or wanted 9. Right off a Main Street so loud music 10. Hallways hot and humidity 11. The biggest issue!!!!! It clearly states a hotel amenities is AIRPORT SHUTTLE but they charge for airport shuttle and when you question it they state they will cancel your reservation with NO refund. The good things about the hotel; The air conditioning worked in our room but we were lucky because other guest were complaining the air conditioning was NOT working! DO NOT STAY HERE! I beg you DO NOT STAY HERE! Nothing is good about this place- it will question your relationship- it makes you miserable. If you value your time and energy do not I repeat DO NOT stay here. I don’t know how to express the dislike of this place- it’s like throwing money away in the trash, it’s better if you light your cash on fire before I would tell you to say here! Worst experience I’ve had in Mexico/ Playa Del Carmen! Horrible experience I don’t know what else I can say to make you NOT STAY at this dump! I want my money back- but at this point I have 2 days left - I already have a cold because of freezing cold showers with no towels.

Possibly the worst hotel I’ve stayed at as far as noise is concerned! The hotel has a bar on the ground floor with blaring music until atleast 2am. If you want to have a peaceful nights sleep then don’t stay here. The curtains are semi transparent so there’s always light coming into the room from the street and sun. This hotel is not for those who like their room to be dark when you’re sleeping. Blanket is not part of the bedding so God bless you if your room is cold. I had to turn off the Airconditioning. Stained pillow covers with lipstick marks…. The light in the toilet isn’t working. I’ve been complaining since the time I checked in and 24 hours later the light hasn’t been replaced. I’ve been told that they’ve called for a new light! I can’t check out of the hotel as it’s non refundable. I booked through booking.com and they’ve tried to get in touch with the hotel but the hotel is refusing to refund so that I can move to another hotel. I have a medical condition which could result in epileptic fits if I don’t get ample sleep. I’m praying that this doesn’t happen!

Awful! Trust the reviews, not the pictures because it's all smoke and mirrors. Bathtubs are gross, hair and dead skin come out of jets, water pressure is pathetic. The owners /staff just don't care, no hot tub or bar at roof top pool like pictures show, nobody cleans the pool area, never saw toilet paper in pool bathrooms once in 5 days. Stay away, don't ruin your vacation, playa is great, this place isn't lol.

When this hotel opened it was a cosmopolitan hotel and something new for Playa. In the past few years it has gone downhill. The bar downstairs is the worst part. It is so loud it is impossible to sleep. This hotel only has 22 rooms and 10 are in the front all within earshot of the loud bar. This hotel should charge much less because the value has gone down a lot. You can see in the hotel how maintenance has only friend to keep the hotel open. It is not a good place to stay and there are many other places to stay nearby that are better. The value of this hotel is about $35 usd a night, but they charge a lot more. Save yourself some sleepless nights and book another place.
