Avant Rent A Car - 77560 Cancún

After hearing about rental car incidents in Mexico, I was worried. Avant Rent A Car was not the cheapest but you get what you paid for. As other reviewers said, their service is hassle free and worry free. As long as you are a safe driver, you shouldn't worry about getting ripped off at Avant Rent A Car. Daniel took good care of me from A to Z. I got contacted by them through Whats App upon arrival. There was no line at their office outside the airport and the paper work was done promptely. I rented the cheapest manual car from them. I liked the fact that their cars had no rental car logo on exterior. I have never got pulled over by a cop during 4 days in Mexico. It's been a month since I came back from Mexico and there has been no additional charge from them. Return process was easy and quick too. I would use them again when I come back to Cancun.

After reading so many bad reviews about other car rental companies in Cancun we were close to resign from car rental at all. But then we found about Avant and I must say that this wasn't just great experience for Mexico standards but my best experience with car rental at all. Friendly staff, no hidden fees, price like advertised, full insurance (including car damages +3rd party liability) and great contact. Not mentioning that price was just 40% of what rentals with similar conditions costs with other companies. They even sent pictures step by step how to reach parking from baggage claim! I read about companies in Cancun that were canceling reservations where client was 20 minutes late- with Avant we were 1 day late (due to cancelled flight) and yet our car was waiting for us, and they charged for one day less (even that they totally could charge for what was reserved). Great experience, I totally recommend this company.

Great company! They were waiting for us at the airport with a cardboard with our name to give us a ride to the place where the rental is - about 5 mins drive. The whole process of renting the car was very smooth. The guy at the counter explained what’s included in the price, insurance and answered all the questions we had. The car was in a very good condition. The returning process was also very smooth. We were returning the car pretty late at night but gave a call ahead and there was no problem. I highly recommend this place!

Positive things: We have been to Cancun and we made a lot of research before from where we should rent a car. All the other dealers are blocking 2500 dollars on the credit card and Avant is blocked 250 dollars only and the sum is based on the car which you rent, definitely this was one the main reasons why I rented from here. Everything was included in one price - including the insurance, other companies will charge you separately for the insurance, here was 10 dollar/day. Return process was easy and quick too. I would use them again when I come back to Cancun. Negative things: In case of anything happens with the car you need to report instantly and if is an accident you need to stay there until the issue is solved, sometimes might happen that you need to wait for the insurance company to come on site.

We needed a rental car for an entire month in Yucatán in November 2021, and chose Avant after doing extensive online research. Best decision ever! From the moment we were picked up at Cancun Airport, to the afternoon we were kindly dropped at our final hotel a month later: fantastic. The welcome was friendly and efficient, and explanations clear. Our car wasn't the shiniest and newest, but we were glad of that on many of the back roads in the province. We were given emergency numbers, but never needed to use them. We happily recommend Avant to anyone needing to hire a car in Cancun!

Amazing experience from beginning to end. My flight ended up being early. As soon as I called the company they said they were aware because they were tracking my flight and someone was on the way. They promptly brought me to the office and got us all checked in. The attendant spoke English and even encouraged me to take a video and pictures during the inspection. The car was great during the trip and we had no issues whatsoever. When returning the car it went very smoothly and they quickly got us back to the airport. No issues with the inspection and no surprise charges.

We have been to Cancun many times and often rent a car. In the past, it has been very stressful and often infuriating. Not anymore! The last time we were in Cancun (last year), Avant did a great job. Avant is completely hassle free, scam free & fraud free. Everything was included in one price - including the insurance. Other rentals will jam extra ins and also make up damages to charge against your CC hold after you turn the car in. It's happened to me. Santiago at Avant did a great job w/getting and returning the car. Freddy was very professional with the contract. The phone support is amazing and also provides timely email support, all in English. I rented a white VW Jetta and it was my cheapest 1 week rental yet, completely hassle-free. When we return, we will always rent from Avant.

Best car rental experience I’ve ever had!! First time renting in Mexico and was immediately put at ease. Smooth airport pickup and transportation to vehicle. Very carefully explained everything in English and did an inspection of the car with us. Also encouraged us to take pictures and videos of the car before driving off the lot. All around excellent service and really want you to have a good time in Mexico! Will use them again 100%. Couple in front of us in line have used the service 3 times and also stated excellent service each time as well. Don’t think twice if you’re looking for a great deal on a car in Mexico. Price online is exactly what we paid plus a $300 deposit that was returned to us the day we brought the car back.
