The staff is very kind and the restaurant workers are very nice as well. Some things that I disliked is that you have to pay for the wifi service if you want it in your own hotel room, and then only ONE person is able to connect to wifi at a time. It is obvious a room does not only have one person, which makes buying the wifi useless. I only bought wifi because I needed to do school work, but it still would’ve been beneficial if it worked for my family at the same time. I also disliked how only adults are allowed to get beach towels. I understand to not give small children beach towels, but a grown child/kid can handle a beach towel. I was refused a single beach towel as a result. There are too many people at the pools, there are plenty of empty chairs but people reserve them with their items and it made it difficult for me. I ended up not staying since I couldn’t find somewhere nice to sit. The food is okay, the breakfast is the best time of day to eat at the buffet. Nothing at the buffet is amazing or notable, they need to work on their lunch time and dinner foods. The waiters and chefs are all very kind still. I also wondered why we need to pay for room service. This is called an “all-inclusive” hotel yet they make us pay for other things that SHOULD be included.

Great place for vacation. Just make sure you fix the price and get confirmation, because they tend to change their mind and try to charge you more.

Don't ever use their 1 800 number to make a reservation . Otherwise ,when you get to the hotel ,the frond desk finds any deceitful way to charge you extra. One unhappy guest!

Management has changed, and with it everything has gone down the drain. HORRIBLE food. People who were great have been laid off and now service is TERRIBLE. WIFI is HORRIBLE. Overall experience is just a darn shame how BAD it is. STAY AWAY!!!!

We were there for our second time in late January for 2 weeks. We thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations and the restaurants. However, we were anticipating playing pickleball on the newly renovated courts as promised on the Azul Grand website. In reality they were quite run down which was a disappointment. We saw the tennis courts being groomed daily although we never saw anyone on them; whereas we and our friends played every morning on the pickleball courts. The canopy has blown off and not been replaced and the court surface needs attention. Before coming back we would certainly make sure that these courts have been fixed up.

Editing this review after the weekend there. This hotel is all show with No follow through. We showed up for our ten year wedding anniversary today (staying Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and have been disappointed with everything since the moment we arrived. I’ve travelled to all inclusive resorts and never had all the a la carte and all the buffets closed for lunch at 12:00 pm. The only option of food was the pool snack bar…. unacceptable. Went to the snack bar for our only option of food and they didn’t have any options for a vegetarian. Ugh. They told us they would do special things for our wedding anniversary and nothing was done ahead of time and we had to ask about it more than three times throughout the weekend. Over the weekend, we met some amazing managers who tried really hard to make it better for us… they made room in the restaurants for us when they were supposedly full because we were not accepting that lower down staff would tell us it was too full for us to eat in them. Overall the hotel isn’t running the way it should for a pricey all inclusive. One a la carte should be open at lunch so we have more options than the buffet. Maybe it’s covid… maybe it’s to cut corners. Who knows. Overall the hotel is really beautiful but lacks follows through.

The manager at front desk night shift Isak Reyes, denied delivery of water because he had no authority from management to have water delivered to room. This is a 4.5 star hotel which shuts the room service at 11pm, the convenient store has no water, no vending machines to provide water - yet he admits knowledge of having water but he has no authorization to open the storage to provide guest water. This would never happen at a Tru 4.5 star hotel in Cancun or US. Don't come here! The staff Mores are horrible. These ppl don't have the capacity to think hospitality. I looked at this Isak in the eye and asked him if he understood hospitality! He was found minded in shock to learn, he is incompetent to think of the guest needs who prepaid 10 nights stay and charging like crazy. This guy and the Mores of this hotel belong in the status of a roach motel on the way to Vegas in a ghost town. Don't come here! Service is horrible.

Very nice resort. Lots of activities. Great for kids. Mostly Spanish speaking so a little difficult to communicate. Everyone was nice (but strict about wearing a mask!) It's a large place so be prepared to get some exercise! Food and drinks flow generously. Great fishing nearby and very reasonably priced. We would return.
