Azulik Resort - 77780 Tulum

this place is like a dream! the location and the experience of feeling like in Neverland. but to be honest cost - benefit is far from a luxury hotel. cleanliness, attention to detail, amenities and the bad design for the toilet are the biggest weakness. the personal is very friendly and they will try to help you at all times. but if you are going to get the basic room I would consider other options.

Drinks were okay. Ambiance was beautiful but wasn’t worth the money in our experience. We just wanted to go for some drinks and apps but they had restrictions for what we can order if we are not doing dinner. Drinks were okay and service was eh. Cool to check Out once but nothing spectacular in my opinion.

Very bad place to have a drink… the pictures look good on their website and you imagine yourself having a drink in their round sofa with a view of the jungle… unfortunately it’s not possible : you have to spend at least 300 dollars to access those sofa.. the other spots proposed by the staff are far from being amazing.. in terms of service and quality of the food/drinks, it is normal - not good not bad. I have been to many places in Tulum and I would not recommend this one to a friend.

To summarize, this is a glamping experience. When we visited in late April 2022, there is only candlelight at night, with one exception of a single light in our sea villa. They recently added a shower in addition to the tub. Air conditioning is being installed but not running. The single fan above the bed helped at night but it was still warm and made it difficult to sleep at night comfortably. It rained here and there and water would leak from the ceiling at multiple spots. Luckily the bed stayed dry. The resort is very unique and a great experience. As long as you know the limitations, it is a great experience and I would recommend staying! On site restaurants are expensive but good food. You have to pay extra to dine in the bird nests which, I believe, should be included for guests. Yoga is offered free daily and there are some free workshops weekly. Sadly, the beaches were filled with kelp so it was not swimmable.

One of the worst experiences and hotels we have stayed at. Look elsewhere for your stay in Tulum. There are better hotels for half the price. 1. The rooms: If you want to get a good nights rest, this is not where you want to stay. As the "fan" they offer is like the jet of a plane right over the bed. Very loud and uncomfortable.They should of been more clear about that. Also, at night you can not see anything. Its a nice idea the rooms are lite by candles but they only have 5 candles for the whole room. So you have to use your phone light to find anything in your room or even find the door to leave. If they are only going to light the room with a few candles they should offer a head lamp or flashlight. It seems like they do the bare minimum at first class prices. 2. The service: Non existent.. The staff does not want to help and they do the bare minimum/never respond. We requested water and 16hrs later the water was delivered(no exaggeration) Do not expect a prompt response or them to respond at all. 3. The grounds/property: It is run down and not very well maintained. Also super dangerous at night as they do not offer you flashlight or anything. 4. Food: Worst food we had in tulum. Highly overpriced given the mediocre food. Overall: Do not stay here, there are WAY better hotels in Tulum to stay with better service, nicer rooms, better food and the property well maintained. One of the worst experiences. I am not one to shy away from spending money for a nice stay but we left feeling completely ripped off.

We had the most pleasant and relaxing stay at Azulik over the weekend. We went from Thursday through Sunday and our flight was delayed so we ended up getting there at around 2 am. They were waiting for us and allowed us to check in. Everyone is so polite from the front desk, to the servers and even the staff cleaning and working on the hotel. I loved the treatment and the environment . Mexicans are very polite and friendly. I will definitely be coming back next year, the hotel was so dope that we didn’t need to do anything outside;however, keep in mind that it is expensive.

This is one of the best tropical hotels for bright photos. Air and nature are fabulous and unique. Food, service very bad. This hotel is the backdrop for beautiful pictures and bragging rights on social media. The area is much smaller than advertised. The area and rooms are poorly cleaned. Air conditioners don't work well. The staff is slow. The employer treats them badly and pays little. This is the reason for the weak motivation of hotel employees. This hotel is suitable for those who are indifferent to the quality of food, do not like comfort and cleanliness. This hotel is very overpriced. Service and service deserves 2.5 stars out of five possible. The location and design of the hotel deserve 5 stars.

We didn’t stay at the hotel but visited the art museum. It was stunning, the ambience was fantastic. We didn’t pay the $20 for the entrance we just went to the restaurant whilst waiting for a friend. I had the passion fruit juice, it was delicious (pricey but worth it). The service was great. The style and design was fabulous well worth a visit. Also, the road to get there wasn’t as bad as people commented. It’s a dirty track but not too bumpy if you drive slow enough. Highly recommend to get away from the busy busting area of Tulum centre and beach area.
