Bit pricey but after all nice place jacuzzi on rooftop didn't work so they have to change water every few days and we were here 10 days pictures are taken at check out tho

Nice and spacious condo has all the necessary in the kitchen that small pool on the top very nice be careful the stairs are very slippery and expect to be paying extra for the light I only left my AC on at night and still had to pay also be careful with the stairs . It is two blocks away off 5 th Avenue . They do not clean daily or change Towels or Sheets , have to pay extra as well.

I highly recommend avoiding this place. They by far have the worst guest policies of any place I’ve seen since I’ve been in Playa since January. No guests after 10pm, so if you have a nice date with a girl she can’t come over after. And any guests you do bring have to leave their IDs with the front desk during their visit which is unheard of around town. I once had 2 girls over after 10pm against the strict rules and they illegally unlocked my door for the police without my permission or calling my landlord first. Then they denied illegally unlocking my door even with video proof. On top of all that they charge double the rate for electricity of anywhere around town at 5KWH. I received an 11,000 MXN electric bill for 2 months. The building itself is beautiful, but it is run horribly.

It’s a nice and clean building with the usual amenities. The gym is a bit small and filled with rusted machines, but it still gets the job done. The rooftop pool isn’t very big and has limited loungers though it’s still usually enough for everyone. Overall a pleasant experience.

This property left me without any running water, unable to use a toilet and lied about it being turned on in 15 minutes and kept saying it untill 8 hours passed and I missed Christmas Eve dinner waiting. They did nothing to help anyone at the property! People were so upset and they did NOTHING! They just stopped responding. They offered no discount or refund for the night even though the water was out during Covid (so gross not sanitary) They just said it’s not their fault even though no one would use a toilet! An apology or even hey here’s a 20$ credit for dinner? I’m not sure don’t charge prices that don’t match your customer service! It was a joke! I ended up having to go to another hotel just to use a bathroom and shower. Avoid this place

This place does not provide all the information when you are booking. They do not disclose that you are limited to 20KW per day and must pay the excess usage of electricity. They do not tell you that you may not bring visitors after 10 PM. Also they do not tell you that the deposit must be in cash. NONE of this information is included when you are booking, you receive a message a few days before your check in to advise of the extra fee for electricity (which at that point it is too late to cancel because you have already paid for the reservation). The rest of the rules are told once you are checking in, again too late to cancel or modify since you have been travelling and you are tired and cannot find another accomodation and will not be refunded because you do not agree with their strict rules. I booked a 2 bedroom appartment for my cousin and I, not knowing that my boyfriend would come during the week, he arrived at 2 am and had no where to go and the security would not let him in. We finally just walked in against the securities will and he cut the electricity of the appartment, I had to go outside at 3 in the morning and he still refused to return my eleectricity because I disobeyed him. (we did not bring in 10 people and have a party) also they filmed our door and you can hear us talking so they invented an excuse that neighbours complained (we apologized to the neighbours the next day, and they had no idea what we were talking about saying they were asleep and we never bothered anyone). It was like nothing I have ever seen before. This all happened on day 3, so the security and manager were extremely petty and rude to us for the rest of our stay because "we broke the rule and allowed my boyfriend to come so he would not have to stay on the street." If you ask me this establishment is really not welcoming and although they claim their rules are in place for our safety, I must strongly disagree. We were therefore obliged to rent another location because the manager Ofelia would not accept to add another guest even tho we offered to pay for the stay, it was just like she was doing it because we disobeyed them one night, she kept telling me to go to the agency I booked with and modify the number of guest, but everyone knows that once you are already in-stay you can no longer modify. This hotel just ruined our stay in Playa Del Carmen. Also the daytime security was EXTREMELY rude, we had a friend signing in at 3pm and he asked a question to the security, the security was not nice and began to yell at my friend and tell him he was not welcome there and he could no longer visit. I could honestly go on about the rest of the terrible service we received from the security and management at this establishment but I believe I have provided enough information. To anyone who still decides to choose this accomodation, my prayers are with you, atleast the front desk staff is very nice. As for security and upper management good luck with them, since they treat their guest as they are living in a boarding school. P.S when I gave my review to hotels.com regarding my check in and how it was going the managements response was EXTREMELY unprofessional. they answered we are sorry that you did not read before booking. This is very insulting because I read EVERYTHING and took screenshots and this was not my mistake this establishment withholds information. SIncerely, not impressed with Anah Baitna :(

Update on the reply: the host spoke to management and got the okay and then security say otherwise. The host even said he’s done this before with other guests to the pool and no issues. I think it’s quite selfish to not allow bring friends over to share the pool together for a few hours. Other condo rentals didn’t have this issue and their pool is much better and friendlier concierge. This will definitely not be recommended to my friends who need a rental in the future. Horrible guest experience. They don’t let you have friends visit you and used the pool, but they let you have friends in your unit? How does that make sense. When you’re paying this much to be here, having few friends over when the pool is less than 10% empty should not be a big deal. What is the point of being here if you can’t have guests? What if my family wanted to come over and visit while I stay here, they’re not allowed either? Very rude security.

First of all, Roberto at the front desk is THE man. Totally chill and helpful dude who remembers your name and is always friendly. The staff and security there are extremely polite and friendly. Always there to assist you and greet you with a friendly fist bump. The places are CLEAN, noise is not bad and the amenities are great. Highly suggest staying here when in Playa. Thanks Roberto and staff!
