Horrible service with ugly and useless employers. I went 3 times to open a bank account and they denied me for a different reason each time without explaining clearly what I had to do to open an account as a foreigner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to the BBVA at UDLAP campus in June 2019 to get a credit card. This required me to bring my German passport to the bank. Unfortunately, the lady from BBVA forgot to give me back my passport after copying it, which I, even more unfortunate, did not notice. So I left without it. Two days later, I wanted to start applying for the renewal of my temporal resident status and wanted to fill out the forms. Of course, I could not find my passport... I remembered that I took it to BBVA. So I went there and asked both ladies that are taking care of the customers, whether I forgot my passport there, and whether they maybe found it. Both said no, they didn´t find anything... Ok, so I though I must have lost it somewhere on the way out... That was bad, since I needed it for the renewal of my mexican green card, which was due in a couple of weeks... After taking care of all the paper work for the lost document, fortunately, the German Embassy was quick and I received my new passport on time, but of course, this cost me 3500 pesos. Then, I had to renew my B1/B2 visa for the United States which was glued into my passport: another 160 US dollars. Plus 2 times travel from Puebla to CDMX, passport pictures etc... So, overall I paid about 9000 pesos. Now the funny thing: Today 27.01.2020, half a year later, the BBVA calls me and tells me to pick up my passport. Yes, they had it for more than 6 months!!!! and didn´t tell me before!!!! although they knew me and had my number!!!! I was there plenty of times in the meantime!!! I am so mad and disappointed right now, because they were JUST TOO LAZY to look for it when I was there, two days after I forgot it at the bank. This cost me so much money and caused so much stress! Of course, it´s my fault that I left the first time without the document, but this happens... What can not happen is that the employees do not even bother looking for an important document of a customer!!! Lesson learned: if you are sure of a thing, persist! Make people get up of their chairs to help you!
