★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Location, location, location! Pricey ($222 MXN for three Modelos), but close to El Bosque, great service, and a Mariachi band to boot!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food. The top dishes are: pescado a la sal, tacos de chamorro, tacos de lengua, milanesa parmesana.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most iconic traditional cantinas in México City. It's like a blast to the past, particularly in the cantina (there's also a restaurant). Do not miss the "Chamorro tacos" or the salted fish.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was very surprised by this restaurant. I didn't think much of it walking in. The wait staff was nicely dressed, with white suit jackets. It had a very old cantina vibe. Ordered the Café Irlandés and was shocked when the waiter brought out a flaming platter and proceeded to caramelize sugar on the rim of the glass. It was quite a sight and tasted as good as it looked. The food was delicious as well. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an old school cantina in Mexico City. We are American and from New York City, and when we travel love local old school places that AREN’T trying to be Brooklyn or New York. This is old school service, excellent waiters, crisp white uniforms and we had the salt dish and the Queso Fundido which was beyond. A fashionable and old school México city crowd. Definitely are going to return when we come back! The Maitre D was so pleasant, made an impact.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very beautiful traditional cantina with excellent food and nice staff. The place may look old but clean. Try anything, you won't regret. Prices are ok for the food and service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Read about this place online and since it’s a five minute walk from where I’m staying, decided to check it out! What a cool spot! Very old school, with white linens and the men are all in white coats. I stopped by just to have a drink at the bar by myself and everyone was very nice!
The interior is pretty and the bar is great, the prices are more than you would probably pay for a beer, but the atmosphere was worth it! The diners were dressed nicely and it’s an older crowd for sure. I will definitely go back and have a bite to eat!
