Barboncho is a great place for a haircut. It is clean, professional and the service is top notch. Augustin is a craftsman and knows his craft very well. He does a great job and I highly recommend him if you need a cut. Location is excellent as well!

Alex gives a great haircut and the service was superb. The shop is new and clean, and they were so halepfuk and nice! We were even offered coffee and drinks while we waited. Would definitely come back!

I booked an online appointment for a haircut and facial which was supposed to be 490 pesos. Upon arrival, I met with the stylist and he asked me if I wanted a haircut and shave. I told him I only wanted a haircut and facial - I didn’t want a shave (I had some stubble on my face but not too long) and that I had selected that package when booking online. He proceeded to cut my hair and then took the clippers he was using to cut my hair and began to run them across my face near the sideburns and then down my neck. At first I wondered if this was necessary to remove some of the stubble to complete my facial but then I realized he was shaving me with these clippers which was very uncomfortable. At this point it did not make sense to stop him because I would have been partially shaven. He continued to cut my hair and eventually used a electric razor to complete the process. My face was completely raw from the process. In addition, the haircut turned out to be too short in some areas and uneven overall. When the whole process was complete, they charged me 790 pesos rather than 490. It is worth noting that the stylist spoke English perfectly so this was not a situation in which it was a language gap.

Fantastic service, great place, I highly recommend it. The owner gives it his all, the place is cool, good clean vibe. I have been going here for a few months and this is now my regular. It isn't super cheap but you get what you pay for and it is super worth it. Cato (not sure of his spelling), is a Chilean dude, who is also a music professional and he does a phenomenal job, he has been my go to, thank you guys!

A great barbering experience. I only had my hair cut but the staff were very polite, offered a drink, proper hair wash included and the barber did a great job understanding what I wanted despite a slight language barrier. Took his time and was professional. Would recommend over any other barber I’ve tried in Playa!

This place is fantastic, do yourself a favour and stop by for a cut! The shop is brand new, really well fitted out and the service is top notch. Agus cut my hair and it was without a doubt the best haircut I have had in all of Mexico - the attention to detail was incredible, as was the conversation. If I was in Playa for longer, this would become my local without a doubt. Thanks team!

My wife and I happened across Barbonco almost by accident. I had mentioned getting a haircut before the end of our holiday and I am so pleased I found this place. From the moment we stepped through the door we knew we'd made a good decision. One gentleman there had excellent English which was great as my Spanish is almost non-existent. Once I'd decided on a haircut with facial which was around $490 pesos we were offered coffee (which was good by the way) and Hair began working on my hair. He did a great job and I was glad I got the facial option with it as it was so relaxing I almost fell asleep! Attention to detail was second to none, with a finish with a straight razor on the finer hairs. Great experience..... 5 STARS

Came in with my boyfriend so he could get his hair done... and I wanted to say hello to the very cute dog inside! They serve drinks too. Friendly and welcoming team, lovely, well kept Barbers. Boyfriends hair looks good! Recommend a visit if you need a trim ?
