These are brand new condos but not finished. We were the only people there during our stay. As the other places are not finished. We left after a couple days...lots of banging noises all night long from the construction site. We wanted a 1 bedroom condo but when we actually booked they said only a 2 bedroom available. So I ended paying more but no condos were finished as caretaker took us in one bedroom and I said how come we could not stay here..she said someone else was staying there. They made me sign a document where I indicated some of the issues on our first day. The doc had another person's name on it with end date before we got there. How could it not be available then? Why did I have her paperwork and having to cross out her name? Caretaker lady said they just finished the 1 bedroom. So I should have not been charged for a 2 bedroom in my opinion. Nothing they said to us added up...we were the only ones there as guests! The hot water tank not big enough for a 2 bedroom condo. We could not have showers for two people without stopping the water while washing. We were two people only. Not enough hot water. The pool had leaves in it everyday and the tiles were already falling off. The construction is not the best. Nobody maintaining the pool on a daily basis. One night we came home to no exterior lights. The Baru sign, potlights above doors, lighted staircase was all turned off. When we first got arrived there was water on the kitchen floor and they had a rag over it. The owner told us nobody has a key to our condo but us. However the next day the rag on the floor was gone and the interim caretaker lady said she had been in there and had a key. There was no safety deposit box. So no place to leave your passports and during the day there are workers constructing on site. No curtains on front window towards the road. The other curtains never opened them as they open towards the other condos with maybe 4 ft in-between. So the workers can see you in your condo. We are very easy going people but we could not continue to stay there after an all night of banging noise every minute all night long from the underground parking lot and the other condos. In the am it continued. We contacted the caretaker lady she said she did not know what it was. They had a coffee maker blender some dishes. 4 beach towels. Not really outfitted properly. Condo is also right on a busy road with main highway just on other side. A gang shooting happened apparently a night prior a few minutes down the road over an over pass over main highway. The electrical panel that night we thought was making banging noise but now think it was probably noise from the shooting. These condos are for sale, we feel they are only renting them until they can sell them . I would say they are not in the rental business...we left after a couple days as we were on a short 7 day holiday and we were so tired from not sleeping. We left and found another place which was night and day..better construction, cleaner, better outfitted for rentals and a clean pool. while we were there they told me to get ahold of some lady named Denise if I remember correctly. She was their booking person I guess and lived somewhere else. I sent an email she never responded. Our travel agent tried to go back and talk to them. They denied it all and were not going to give us money back. When we did leave they did offer to move us to another of there properties but we could not chance it being another not good place and not knowing where it was located. We had our agent speaking to Expedia and nobody from Expedia has addressed this. Not impressed. Does Expedia not care about their clients? I did not want to write this to give people a chance to make it right. It's been weeks now and no word yet from Expedia.
