★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yoga retreat, one week of pampering by friendly, lovely and attentive staff. Incredible, delicious meals. Clean, private, secure, beautiful grounds and rooms. The perfect setting for yoga, relaxing, swimming and local amenities. Close to cenotes, Tulum ruins, too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel canceled our reservation that was made through a third party website. It appears that they will be closed in late December of 2021. We received the cancellation email several weeks after the original booking was confirmed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just finished my 4 night stay at the Shambala Petit Hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly woman who showed us our room, we heard loud music coming from next door and were made aware of a new club that was just built, Bagatelle. The room was pretty nice but felt worn down, it was right on the beach which was cool, and the view right outside the room was beautiful. When we went to bed that night, the bass from the club kept us up until 1:30AM. Every night we were kept up until 12:45 at the earliest and 2:30 at the latest, Thursday to Tuesday. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you are planning to stay up until at least 1AM, every night.
I feel bad leaving this review, because I don't think the hotel can stop them from playing their awful music. I just wish we would have been made aware of the club before we booked our trip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful, quiet spot right on the beach. We loved our room which looked out on to the beach, and we spent a lot of time in the super comfortable bed. There’s a fan and aircon which we didn’t use but it’s nice to have in case of a hot night. When I needed a doctor the owner helped us out straight away. Be mindful that there’s no parking, we paid extra for this just outside the hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Roberto was a wonderful host! This was my first time in Tulum. The hotel was absolutely peaceful, magical and definitely a place of healing. At this hotel, there is a sense of calm and relaxing energy. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. You feel as if you're at home and Roberto the owner pays attention to detail and gives a sense of belonging. Great hotel! <3
