Tina and Adolfo were so nice and friendly, and they know so many people in town that they can get you a great deal with scuba, scooter, food, anything! Highest hugest recommends for this hostel.

Ok, let me just first say that it is NOT a dive center. Including that in their name is very misleading. As far as accommodation goes, it was ok. The beds wer comfortable and whatnot. I'm not a complainer, but I do feel I need to inform people of what to expect at this place.... Accomodation wise, it's fine, but there are a hilarious amount of rules. One is that they close the kitchen from 11 - 430. The nearest restaurant is a 15 min walk, so if you want lunch, bacially F*** you.... She's super strict about it too. Our friends were leaving the hostel to another place, and went to get their food from the fridge to leave, but it was after 11, and they caught sh*** because the kitchen was closed. Onto the real reason I was upset. They call themselves a "Dive Center". It is nothing of the sort. Adolfo will broker a dive for you with a boat in town. It is much more expensive than just going down town and booking a dive with someone. He charged us $100 USD. I had dived downtown for $80 for a 2 tank dive. When I asked why I was paying $20 more, I was told that he "makes sure everything is very safe, and everything goes very smoothly". I went diving with them and it was a gong show. I was forced to dive with a small size BCD because it was that or XL. The dive boat was unable to change an O ring - kinda a trivial thing to fix. When we were leaky the dive master just changed tanks, and ultimately we had to dive with leaky gear, limiting our bottom time. The really fun one was my O-ring blew mid dive. Good thing I'm a very experienced diver, and I don't consume much. My air was spewing for the rest of the dive, and I came up with almost nothing (125 psi). I didn't see Adolfo from the day he promised us safety and well planned dives until the last day of our stay. So we payed 25% more for some of the sketchiest and most dangerous dives of my life (I have 18 years experience diving). I can honestly say I would never stay here again in my life. On top of the sketchy diving, they took us to boring dive sites for cozumel. I've dove cozumel before many times, and where they took us was ridiculous. Miles of sand, with the occasional bit of reef. Pretty lame considering we were paying top dollar. I hope they change their name and remove the "Dive Center" because it is very misleading. I cannot possibly recommend that anyone stay there. If you're not diving, then maybe. It's a crappy location, and there are a crazy amount of rules. If you are diving, please please please don't take them for their word that it's a "Dive Center". It is not. Just stay somewhere in town and broker your own dives. You'll save $20 a day, and probably have better dives. On top of that, they'll only take cash. I asked if I could pay with PayPal and they wanted to charge me 10% extra! Sorry, but PayPal does not charge 10%. She said because of "tax". I'm guessing they are tax dodging and it's harder for them if you pay PayPal - paper trail and whatnot. So not only are they a dodgy with their diving, they're dodging taxes as well. It's pretty ridiculous. I just paid cash to get the hell away from there. I'm not a complainer, but this place sucked, big time. To the point that I needed to write a review.

This place is can be very uncomfortable , the beds are terribly uncomfortable. It is very far from downtown and the owners DO NOT USE THE AC IN THE HOME AT ALL, excuse being it cost too much .So if you want to bake in bed after a hot day on the Island go ahead and stay there ! Also the beach behind the home the water is dirty and beach is ugly ! The Master Diver Co-Owner Adolfo is a good instructor but his operation is one where he does not operate out of a dive shop , he uses equipment from another place, which could be dangerous. That is what other Dive Shops say of his reputation on the island. The best thing about the Co-Owner Adolpho is that he will take great pictures and video of you when you are diving at the bottom for a small fee.

Tina and Adolfo are amazing hosts. That TJ guy who commented is an idiot who should learn to read. The hostel is conveniently located like 2 miles from town, and they hooked my gf and I up with a sweet deal to rent motor scooters (with a phone number to call in case of any damage or troubles) which we had a blast riding between town and the hostel. A nice big bed, coffee, plenty of fans (obviously AC is expensive), and WOW was Tina helpful when it came to telling my gf and I where to eat, what to see, and what to avoid. She didn't hesitate for a moment to sit down with us at breakfast and draw everything out on our map for us. Highly recommend, definitely going back.

Tina and Adolfo are wonderful individuals who provide nothing but the best for their house guests. The house is clean and inviting. The beach is a quick walk. Tina and Adolfo have connections all over the island; it made our time in Cozumel much more authentic. This was our home away from home for a short week and we will be back!

This hostel exceeded my expectations completely. Tina made me feel at home from the moment I stepped in the door. There is so much love in the details of how she runs the place, she really has fun doing it. I really appreciated the close proximity to the beach, the well maintained infrastructure of the house, the cleanliness but most of all how well they took care of me! Adolfo organized two days of diving for me which was spectacular! I wish I could have stayed for longer than three nights!!!

This review is long overdue! I stayed at Beachouse Dive Hostel back in May and it was incredible. I had never stayed in a hostel before but read the reviews before booking. The reviews were spot on - incredible hospitality and a very clean house. VERY relaxing! It sits far enough away from the downtown tourists but close enough to enjoy it. Tina is an incredible person - I can honestly say she made my trip. She gave me suggestions on what to do (if I wanted to do anything) but understood if I just wanted to relax. After my first day, her husband, Adolfo, came back and he too was awesome. They set me up with a scooter rental and they came right to the Beachouse to get me situated. I really wish I dove with Adolfo but will definitely be doing that next time. If you are going to Cozumel, staying here is definitely the way to go. I have been talking about this experience ever since then. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Tina & Adolfo! I cannot wait to go again - I recommend this place to anyone that tells me they are going to Cozumel!!!! Thank you Tina & Adolfo! I will see you both soon!
