★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Usually do not care for birria as it is often too gamey, however, this little roadside restaurant has mastered how to make it delicious and tender. The cafe de olla was the best I have had. The cebada beverage was interesting - prefer horchata, but would have this again. This is a historical, local place. The huge pots for making menudo and sopa de birria were impressive. We were the only non-locals there, and it was crowded. Helps to know Spanish. Cash only.
