Amazing property, a few docks so it never feels crowded, incredible swimming and the staff were so kind and helpful. I didn’t want to leave!

We enjoyed our honeymoon here! We also received a wine as a welcome gift to celebrate! Beautiful view and the swings, hamacas were great! Perfect spot to swim.

I've stayed here twice. I love the location. The rooms are comfortable and cute. The drinks were better during my first visit in 2021 compared to feb. 2022.

This place is beautiful quiet true paradise. The cabins are a perfect room size and clean. The staff is very helpful and nice. The view is amazing during the day and night.

The hotel itself and the room is quite nice. However, we had a minor and a major issue. Minor: The food is not good. This is really a pity since it would be amazing to hang out at the lake all day. Like this, you have to get into town for lunch and dinner which is quite a hassle. Also, they only offer 2 pieces of toast per person in the morning which is an incredibly stupid artificial limit and left me hungry. Major: I gave them my laundry to wash. Apparently, they gave it to an external laundry. It had a gut-wrenching smell when it came back. The staff agreed that it was pretty horrible, but refused to help us beyond giving us the number of the laundry service. When we called the external laundry service, they refused to do anything about it. We ended up paying (100 pesos) for a load of laundry that immediately needs another wash somewhere else. We escalalated it at the hotel, but they kept referring us to the external laundry service. ("You can get a taxi and go talk to them") This is unacceptable for a service we bought at the hotel. Overall, due to the fact that the staff and the management doesn't care about the experience of the guests, I recommend not to stay here.

Unfortunately way too expensive for its value. The air coming from the AC made the room smell like pee. The tile-floor was greasy and sticky. The style is not boutique, more tacky-camp. Breakfast was meager, Holiday Inn style: a cut apple, two toasted pieces of Bimbo bread (the loaf that lasts forever), jam and black-dockworkers coffee. Staff didn't give any welcome or explanation. Gotta love Bacalar and the location of the place, but will definitely stay somewhere else next time.

A very nice stay. The staff was very friendly. The hotel includes kayaks and SUPs for you for free which is amazing. The hut ? was super super confortable. We wish we could stay more nights and We recommend choosing a stay like this next to the lagoon as the public accesses to the lagoon are very few and get extremely crowded.
