I got in the store ready to do my shoppings on a Sunday morning, but when I got at the checkout front the lines were immensely long, only a few registers were open. The manager seemed to not care about their clients. So if you're in a hurry don't go to that location. I'm just saying

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice that Wal-Mart felt like "helping" fill a void for the Mexican consumer with this store, but they have utilized their US model and brought even cheaper and lower quality goods to the consumer and not hired or paid enough to employees. There are consistently 15-20 people in a line with only 4-6 of the 18 lines open. After waiting 15min in line to buy the refrigerator, it took over an hour and a half for them to bring the box to the door (about 4 meters from the box). Of course, after bringing it home, it did not work and I had to pay to have someone bring it back and wait for over 2 hours to get help to get a replacement.

But location is convenient and prices are low.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This one is less crowded, more organized and clean than the other one. Lines are long but still better than many other grocery stores. This one of the best stores in Playa for price and quality. Rolls here has the minimum yeast - not bitter, stays soft and moist longer time. Even the mix of the flower is better, if you like whole wheat. Whole Telapia are better cleaned and all the time I found fresh.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Supermarket like we know them type WalMart / Super Aki (Bodega Aurrerá is a Mexican discount-store owned by American discount chain Walmart ;))...selection of everything from food, liquor to household products, electronics, to car accessories and clothing.
Located near Home Depot, in a shopping mall with El Porton, Subways, Tony and other stores.
Prices in the low range worth the visit. MoneyGram available. Friendly service in Spanish.
Ps. Don Simon red wine, 1 L, 12% for 46 pesos also sometimes available at WalMart on 30th ave.
