Botånica Tulum - 77760 Tulum

MISLEADING / CAN IMPROVE. The temazcal is one of Tulum best experiences, however after staying in the ‘hotel’ for a week we left very dissapointed. If you haven’t stayed in Tulum before, this is very Typical of tulum party atmosphere. The management and maintenance service were poorly organised, the kitchen and common areas were not functional/clean enough and there was a party atmosphere most of our stay, daytime and nighttime (because of the bar next door) not suitable for young women or families to stay in a “peaceful environment”. Some guests and staff members took food from other guests (mostly on the fridge, which was also unclean most of our stay). Some private rooms had tv and the others didn’t and they promised to give us one and never happened. No Covid basic measures or hotel ‘rules’. On the last day my niece and I were disturbed by some of the ‘heavy party’ guests from the room next door and the management staff didn’t try to fix things in an appropriate way. They caused us an stressful and difficult time most of the day, especially because they were aware we were in a complicated family situation. My mother and I gave feedback to both the manager and the owner and they didn’t act according to basic hospitality standards. Fortunately we found a safer and more peaceful and family environment in Veleta’s condos for a slightly higher price, but it was definitely worth it vía Airbnb. The rest of the staff (cleaners, gardeners,etc) and some of the guests were super nice and resourceful. We left very sad and disappointed of this place since we thought the hotel vibe was going to be similar than the Temazcal but it wasn’t. Regardless of this, we were thankful to stay there for a couple of days and meet some kindhearted people. There was also a beautiful cat called Lumi that made our stay a bit happier. We hope this feedback helps Botanica hostel to improve their service to their hotel/hostel users, definitely not my money’s worth.

I am very fortunate to have found this residence and community space in Tulum. The open kitchen and beautiful decor make this place very special. The owners are humanitarians who care about the home they have built in this community and I hope who ever finds this gem appreciates living here. It’s center to everything and 15 min to the beach. ?? They also offer group or private Tezmezcal experiences.

Without hesitation it was the most incredible experience in my life ! I discovered temascal there with the Amazing family of this ceremony then I changed my hotel to stay in Botanica, I was feeling that was my home. This place litterally changed my life, I knew the Real meaning of inconditional love and caring from people there, specifically Fernando and all the temascal Family ❤️ A part of me is and will stay forever at Botanica Tulum, for sure I will Come back with my family to present them this Amazing people and beautiful place and super pool ! Service more than 5/5, very clean and AC inside rooms + all what u need its available there ! Close to centro and beach very practical ! I definitly recommand with love !

Beautiful Place, brand new ! It a good location as you can walk to many restaurants and places near by, Great place to explore Tulum. They also do Temascal ceremonies and people are really nice, most importantly is very safe and great energy with everyone around.

Great temazcal experience and ceremony. Beautiful chants, great balance between masculine and feminine leaders, well maintained. Roots. I did 3 in a row :)

WARNING! - Providing a 3 star review for Temezcal because the 1st time I did Temezcal here, it was outstanding! and a truly transformative experience. The second and most recent time it was awful. There were literally 50+ people there, all of which they attempted to fit into one tiny cave with one small door. If you're anxious in small spaces, the Temezcal experience here is not for you. Was concerned for my safety and the safety of my friends who I brought with for the experience. Maybe go, but don't go on a weekend? I would leave if they attempt this ceremony with any more than 8 people

Very relaxing & beautiful hôtel in centre. cumfortable sofas around the pool, shared kitchen, temazcal ceremony, and a very friendly welcome from Fernando and his teams. A dream place with nice travellers.

One of the best places I have ever been to. I booked five nights and I ended up staying one month. Everything was incredibly warm, beautiful and made up with so much love. The whole accomodation was super clean, the owner is just super caring and loving. The location is great, you can walk to supermarkets, restaurants, bars. The bed was super comfy and just the whole vibe was perfect. I loved the interior and the kitchen, where you could prepare your own meals or coffee. It's a 1 minute walk to a yoga studio and a great coffee/breakfast place. The temazcal was absolutely great and a very transforming experience for me. Botanica is a magical place, I will come back for sure. Much love ??
