Cabañas Telayu - 70946 Mazunte

Un hotel con instalaciones en buen estado y decoración hermosa, con una vista espectacular. El ambiente es muy tranquilo, perfecto para ir a descansar. Si hay que subir una pendiente, si hay que subir muchas muchas escaleras pero nada que no te adviertan antes de reservar. Si no tienes condición para subir muchas escaleras, entonces no es recomendable. El personal muy amable, no hay recepción 24 horas por lo que hay que planear bien la llegada. Me llevo muy grata experiencia

No working WiFi, perfect otherwise

Great place! This is such good value for money if you share for two people, as Mazunte is pricier than you think. The views are just incredible, well worth being so far uphill. The pool is always clean and the staff are just so friendly and will help you with anything. Speaking Spanish will help as they do not speak much English. Fully recommend to stay here. Also close to Punta Cometa where you can see the most amazing sunset.

STAFF REVIEW 1*: Well, we arrived by car, and discovered the parking lot is not really a parking lot. So be prepared. Anyhow, the owner asked our car keys as he had to park his own car there as well, so he could move ours whenever he needed. We of course trusted him :) The next morning though, there was a huge scratch and 2 tiny ones on our rental car. I'm not talking about the ones you can 'cleanbrush' away, but about the deeper ones. We told the staff, asked for the owner, he wasnt there but would come back later. The staff would look at video of the camera - that has filmed everything 24/7. We came back 1,5 hour later. Owner not there, his wife didn't answer our calls anymore, than suddenly she was down there in a little room editing (EDITING!) the camera images (we found out later). So, another staffmember asked her if we could come in, and yes.. we could watch the video finally, after 3x asking. Super suspicious. In the end, it seemed that they had cut out the part of the film (1,5 hour) of the camera - this was exactly the part that the owner took our car and had moved our car. (We know because the car was also turned around - so it was obvious). So we asked what happened with that part - 'the cameras were not working on that moment...' eh.. yes. Ofcourse. You know, it doens't matter that something has happened like this, but the fact that they are not honest and tell us that we did it our self and than in the end tell us its because we drove all the way from Oaxaca? Eh yeah. It hurts and it breaks my heart, that people can lie to you straight in the eyes... We didnt want to fight or stay there anymore, so we left, and ofcourse we have to pay big time for it. But what can we do? When people are not honest... ROOM REVIEW 2,5*: The pool is great, the rooms are okay-ish. Our fan was broken and you couldn't open the windows, because they didn't have any mosquito nets in front. The beds were really soft, for us way too soft (backpain). Even though the pool is great we decided to move on.

The place is nice if you love nature. The access by car isn’t good. So is better if you bring a truck or don’t bring a car at all. There is no A/C and lots of bugs. WiFi didn’t work. But the view is amazing ??‍♀️

The view is beautiful and the staff was friendly. To reach this place by car is a very difficult task and if you at all want to leave the cabin at night it's definitely hard. Its gets really dark and the hike back up is not the easiest since the floor is pretty rough.
