★ ★ ★ ★ ★ By far one of the top "Must Visit" locations in town. If you miss this stop you might as well keep driving through town because this is by far the best spot in town to get a full 360 experience of not only what Mascota has to offer but you will be taken back in time to simpler days when life's most precious values were family, friends and great homestyle traditional food made with true love to unite the too.
This is a very unique location to describe as I have not found any place that comes close to this in the world travels I've done. I literally visited this location atleast once a day while in town. It's a; historic museum of Mascota, architectural beauty, hand curated and cultivated garden, quaint and cozy coffe shop, family and business event location where you can have a great family reunion party or a great place to bring all your staff from around the world for a corporate retreat where you will recharge your batteries and fine tune the mind (I guarantee a great return on investment). All of this is brought together with unbelievably great Mexican traditional dishes of the region but enhanced by Mrs Luz's passion which you will experience in every bite.
The property itself is a Spanish Style Estate that has been passed down generation by generation by one of the towns original founding families "Robles" who helped make Mascota the "Pueblo Majico (Magic Town)" it is today. No doubt this could not have been achieved without the hard work of this great Generational Family.
This "Magic Town (Pueblo Majico)" honor is not handed out carelessly. This honer has only been given to a few small towns throughout Mexico as an acknowledgement of being a crown jewel of Mexico and a "Must Stop Tourist Destination". This honor does not come easy and is only awarded to towns who have managed to keep the tradition alive with its traditional coulture, friendliness people you will ever encounter (don't come with a bad and rude attitude as you will probably be the only one in town and will stick out like a soar thumb), traditional cultural events, breath taking views everywhere you go, tons of traditional activities and most import to me as a International Tourist, SAFETY! At no point will you feel any less than a welcomed family guest in town.
All the same passion The Robles family has placed in helping create Mascota as a Majestic Magic Town has been passionately recreated using time honored tradition by its current Head Chef and Owner Mrs Luz Robles. This gorgeous Spanish style traditional Estate has a neck turning center garden court yard. The center court yard is worth the visit alone for a fresh brewed cup of coffee. No folgers cofe there so don't event ask.
Very relaxing center garden atmosphere. I guarantee if you come in thinking about your life's city slicker problems you will leave feeling rejuvenated as you are transported back in time to when family and friends were life's only main things to value and worry about.
If the court yard wasn't enough the Spanish Estate has lush gardens that have been meticulously cultivated and developed over the years from all over Mexico's beautiful regions. This will give you the option to dine under the beautifully crafted wood ceiling strips covered in lush vegitation. This outdoor seating area also features a full vine covered wrap around wall with carefully curated lighting fixtures all througout which at night really transforms into a romantic paradise.
I can't think of a better place to "Ask The Big Question" than this special hidden jewel waiting to be discovered by the rest of the world.
The service here is by far the best service I experienced in town. The staff and family are always happy, positive and full of nonstop smiles and great compliments. One of the main things I noticed is the price is very low if you are coming from abroad. This is not by mistake, this is so that the towns' inhabitants have the same access to the location as well as be able to afford the great food. It reminds me of Henry Fords' policy of not making a car his own w
