Cantina La 20 | Cancún

The ambiance and view over the water from this restaurant is great, however the service leaves much to be desired. The food is good, in particular the arrachera tacos. Very expensive for what you get, much better options around that I would explore first.

Pros: • Great location • Fast food • Very friendly service • Live Music • Great interior design Cons / Feedback: #1 Check in with your guests table (more often) #2 Keep tables clean and take away what’s no longer needed often. We literally had to be asking waiters to clean our table. #3 Remember guest orders! I lost count of how many times I ask for something and after every 10 minutes I had to remember the waiters of my order, even for a simple cup of water and a simple espresso. #4 If the mariachi is playing live, ether cut the speakers music or lower the volume. #5 Being just nice with your guest and making us laugh does not = good service, look out for that fine balance of service vs entertainment. #6 This place is waaaay to expensive beyond what is worth $$$$$. On a table of 10 did not saw a single dish that I would say is worthy of the price. (Price does not match service or dishes). This is the type of place for people who think expensive = higher quality and just like to pay extra to feel fancy. For what it was worth I have seen soo much higher quality service, and dishes. - I would personally never come back, but if invited by a friend or family I would give it one more try and change my review if there are any improvements. I know I sound like I have something against the restaurant or that I could be exaggerating, trust me I’m not. Just super upset of the hole experience. At the end even way after (I had directly complained about the service to their supervisor) and had a good chance of improving in a short period of time, they did not improve at all, we where expected to tip 15% to which we only gave 10%. - Just to make sure at the end of our dinner I have ask to all 10 of us what they thought of the food and service and they all made very similar comments.

Great Live Music. one time I went, a Mariachi Band was singing Beatles songs. I never ate some of their dishes before, but I tried them And I fell in love with some tasty morsels. Order their Bone marrow tacos, or soft shell Crab tacos, or escamoles or the Salt Baked fish or guacamole and Chicharrón or Anything of the other Super Yummy Dishes that your heart desires Here are some photos from some past visits to Cancun and other locations across Mexico and USA.

The place is very nice, you have an amazing view But the waiters take a long time to serve you and I did not like how he expressed himself with me as if we were also workers there. It is excessively expensive for the service they give and the worst thing is that the waiter demands the tip of 15% It's something that bothers me a lot as if he had offered a very good service. Excellent ambient, but food was not following excellence of the service & ambient of 5 stars, missing food menu in English, great thing that hosteses and waiters speak English and they were very, very nice, professional & kind! I would recommend and visit this place for sure again!

Start out with a beautiful location and a wonderful view of the harbor with million dollar yachts sitting out front. From there it goes kind of downhill with very slow service and oily not interesting food. Prepare to spend a lot of time and a fair amount of money to have a so-so meal. The Margaritas are a joke.

5 stars for the service, location and vibe. Zero star for food and prices. Very over priced for what it is delivering. We stopped there because we wanted to try good mexican food . Didn’t realize it is more like a bar than a restaurant . The food wasn’t bad but was very basic and lack of flavors. We got sea bass and Salmon and both were very basic. Also, the chips was burned!! I mean come on! They also don’t have fresh natural juice and they charge do much for sparkling water. I would recommend avoiding it at all cost if you don’t want to throw $$ in the trash. It is located at Purto Marina where you can find fine dining restaurants.
