Las áreas verdes que podrían ser un bello jardín se encuentran en total descuido y abandono. Había incluso un restaurante de comida poblana al lado de esta capilla pero está cerrado y también en mal estado a causa del bandalismo y grafitti. Se podría rehabilitar y volver un punto interesante en el recorrido del Víacrucis pero su lejanía en la Avenida de los Fuertes quizá la aleja de los puntos atractivos ubicados más en el Centro Histórico. Que mal que se halle en este estado. Suele abrirse de vez en cuando pero no hay nadie que permanentemente de mantenimiento al amplio espacio del atrio y sus jardines, fuentes y áreas de convivenicia. Parte del patio funciona como estacionamiento para el deportivo cercano.
