En esa capilla se venera, aparte de la Virgen de Dolores, al santo Señor de Chalma, motivo por el cual, los habitantes del barrio van a Chalma a venerar a la imágen original, por lo que después, cuándo se celebra la fiesta de la capilla, los pobladores de Chalma vienen a pagar la visita. Ese día hay mañanitas, música y feria, por la noche se quema un enorme castillo de fuegos artificiales.
