★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very bad service, not greeted when entered, ordered an avocado toast, took forever to make when I was the only customer. Then it arrived and it was horrible, barely any avocado on it. Such a shame. Overpriced for poor service and food quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best coffee shop in town. We spent a week in tulum and after trying a few other spots this was probably one the best places. The coffee was amazing and the atmosphere of the place is simply wonderful. Great people, amazing service. They also have an outdoor area where you can drink your coffee and read one of the many books they have around their place. Bathrooms were clean.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very quite small book store and coffe shop. They have books in English, including kids books. Books are mostly used. They also accept used books for small credit towards to your purchase. They some garden space and a space for workshops - when I was there, there was a a painting/drawing class for kids in place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cute and easy to find. I sat down with an ok pastry but what makes it is the comfy vibe with nice seats, books (!), and music. The place is air-conditioned and has plenty of space outside or in the second room which was nice.

As someone who was raised by small business owners, and who had to work in that small business for several formative years, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to keep a business like this one operating effectively for its customers. The folks at Cara Feliz Tulum do a magnificent job at doing so. I look forward to making many stops here in the future!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Many customers were sitting down and working on their laptops, seemed to be a great spot for digital nomads. We just had a coffee break, the staff was friendly and spoke english pretty well. Expected more “bookstore” vibes with a bigger and better sorted collection and a little café instead of a café with some bookcases and mostly workspaces.

It’s enchanting, staff are super friendly, and everything I consumed was DELICIOUS (which was a lot); Nutella French toast is worth the six hour flight from California. They also have AC, which was crucial when I was there in August. Highly recommend - please support this local gem!
