100% the worst travel experience of my entire life. They cancelled our reservation and other families as well because we booked months in advance and the rate was higher now due to holiday season. I offered to pay the difference but they said everything is booked and basically mocked us. I literally started crying as my friends and I were stranded, thank GOD for hotels.com who rebooked our hotel the same day within hours or else I don’t know what I would have done. Please do yourself a favour and don’t book this place.

Rude and unprepared guy at the reception got passive aggressive when we indicated we had a free parking via Booking. Instead of confirming it right away, he said we could just leave the property and find another place as the hotel is full of potential customers anyways. Besides that, our room was just above a Rock bar and the music was so loud and noisy that the balcony doors were shaking. ❗Impossible to sleep❗ Spoke with two other guests who were also struggling with the loud noise and how they were unhappy with the misleading reviews in Booking and Google Maps. We left the hotel around 23h just a few hours after our check-in. They were unwilling to refund our 4 days stay payment. This is a scam! I'm sure they booked someone else right away to continue the scam.

The more proper name for this hotel would be Caribbean Hell! Avoid this place at all costs! This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at as matter of fact, it was so unbearable that we decided to leave in the middle of the night to a different hotel. It is impossible to rest in this hotel!. The walls in our room were shaking to the every beat of the music from the bar downstairs. There was basically no difference between having the sliding doors of the terrace open or closed. The noice was simply so unbearable that I couldn’t hear my own thoughts! No earplugs could help at all. On top of this, the guy at the reception was rude to a level a had never experienced before. He told us that “plenty of customers have problems with the hotel but that they don’t care and we are welcome to leave because the owner has 15 other hotels in the city and he will book out the room right away”. I had never seen this level of bluntness and carelessness towards customers before, even more when this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel! Their modus operandi is to offer rooms in which is impossible to sleep. Customers will leave, they will (evidently) keep the money and then find new victims. Very unethical way of operating

Nice rooms. Beautiful pool. Great location. If you want peace and quiet this is NOT the place. Its next door to a cool bar called Bar Loco.

Our flight was delayed and we received a message from hotel canceling our reservation as we were 15 min away from arriving. We notified the hotel our flight was delayed by the way, and they still canceled our reservation in the middle of the night. It is now 2 am and we are stranded in playa del Carmen, with 5 suitcases, looking for a place to sleep. They have offered to simply cover our cab to another hotel. It’s the busiest season of the year and all hotels are booked. I can’t believe this is happening. I would never wish this experience on anyone.

Highly do not recommend. First off- the staff ARE friendly. In fact great service from the staff! However, the hotel policies are crazy. $100 per hour if you don’t check out on time. Tried to check out at 12:25pm and they wanted to charge me $100. That is almost the price of an entire night for checking out 25 minutes late. Secondly, their policy clearly states that if you leave your belongings there by accident- they will charge you to retrieve them. Like WHAT?! Wild. Our room was the size of a glorified walk in closet. They provided us with ONE shower towel, no face clothes etc. Their rooms are not even comparable to the photos you see online. Saaaaave your money and pay an extra $30 a night to stay on a resort with amazing accommodations. Do. Not. Waste. Your. Money.
