Carisa y Palma - Cancún

I did not think this was as clean as it looks in the pictures. I am totally fine with barebones cheap places as long as they’re clean. There was loud music until about 3 am and someone tried to get into our room while we were sleeping (at about 4am, my hubby and I both happened to be awake due to someone else moving furniture above the room). I heard someone quietly and sneakily walk up to our door, try to open the room, and move on to the next room. Had I not had my two small kids with me I would have opened the door and yelled at them. To get through the gate you have to talk to the tour guides out front as well. All in all felt very scammy and not safe and dirty.

I read the reviews on airbnb and only one person gave this place a negative review. I thought maybe that person over exaggerated and the condo wasn't that bad. Welp, I was WRONG! I guess you get what you pay for. The building is old and definitely needs some renovating. Whoever "cleaned" it didn't do a good job. There was hair in the shower and all around the toilet. It was just gross. The bedding looked dingy and didn't look clean at all. Thank God I brought my own sheets from home. After being here for a few hours, the toilet wouldn't flush and the "plumber" had to be called. I will say that I did receive a prompt response for that issue. The great things about this place is the location and the great view of the Caribbean Sea. The water is absolutely beautiful. Too bad the sliding glass door and the glass on the balcony was FILTHY. You couldn't even enjoy the view from inside the room. Needless to say, not only would I never stay here again even if it was FREE, I would not recommend anyone stay here.

My sister and her friends came here to spend the spring break, they had their room broken into, and when we went to check the cameras they weren’t capable enough to find the culprits, the place is under remodeling so there’s a lot of people walking about, definitely do not recommend until they finish building, we lost thousands of dollars worth of jewels, watches, rings, etc. Airbnb could do anything about it either, a real shame.

The building looks run down from the outside but inside the room was nice and the view was just AMAZING. You’d think the pictures are photoshopped but they are not. Check in is just like regular hotel check in. The room has everything you need shampoo, soap, towels, etc.

Nice stay! We stayed a couple nights here, great service, safe parking, and one minute walk from the beach. Clean rooms, nice pool, and above and beyond Cancun beach by its side. Cheap prices in the Zona Hotelera, it's a must. Great view of the ocean at all times of the day. Will be definitely coming back.

Very average. The exterior is trash compared to the rest of the buildings in the hotel zone, but it's also much cheaper, so it's a trade off. Pool was quiet, albeit boring. Beach views are good if you have them.

Beach front with gated security. Lounge chair for residents and a freah water pool. Prime area but if you face the ocean you don't really hear the music. Wave sound is lound but amazing if you like it. I would stay again.

Awesome view! But the amenities need to improve. The owner does not give us floor mates for the toilet at first, later the gave us something but it barely did it’s job. But the view from the balcony was enough to overlook everything else. Also the private beach was very nice and secure.
