Casa Bella Cruz - 63734 Cruz de Huanacaxtle

This place is GREAT! I know writing this review is going to make it difficult to book next time due to it being the secret gem in La Cruz!!! The location is absolutely the best in the town. It is close to the marina and walking distance to anywhere in the town. The restaurants nearby are delicious and the beach area isn't too far either. The hotel itself is clean, bright, and spacious. The unit we were in (Marigold Suite) is upstairs and an oversized studio suite with a private balcony with chairs, a table, and a daybed. The bathroom was spacious with a large shower and closet. There was a full kitchen and couch as well. We hardly used the kitchen except for coffee in the morning, but if we wanted to cook, we could totally do so. AC worked great and the unit actually stayed cool for most of the day without it on. There was another couple in a downstairs unit while we were there. They were so nice to chit chat with. There is enough privacy between the seating area and pool so it did not feel like we were cramped. The pool is beautiful with enough shade so it did not feel hot or unbearable. The hosts, Alex and Kyle (and Theo) were so nice and pleasant. Alex checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and provided good insight to where to go in the area. The nearby restaurants/bars; Ballena Blanca and Green Tomate, are fun and have good drinks/food...however, they have live music on certain evenings so the noise is heard in the entire area. If noise is a concern, I probably would not stay anywhere near the square. The other hotels nearby could definitely hear the music too, but we enjoyed it!

We had the most incredible extended stay at Casa Bella Cruz- the new owners are so hospitable, accommodating and friendly, and the entire place is amazing- our unit was comfortable and clean, and the common areas including the pool amazing! The location is just off the main square, and close to the Marina and beaches. Couldn’t ask for a better experience and we will be back in 2023- hold our spot!!! ?

A wonderfully peaceful oasis! This jewel of a hotel is in a great safe location, is extremely clean, and very comfortable. The pool and rooftop palapa were especially inviting. The owners shared super helpful advice regarding shops, restaurants, and bars close by. Their hospitality is second to none. I’ll be recommending this hotel to all my family, friends, and clients. A+.

I was so happy with my stay here! The decor was wonderful, the amenities (pool area and roof terrace) were a pleasure to enjoy, the room had everything I needed for a pleasant stay in terms of kitchen items and closet space (with THE most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on), and it’s right in the centre of town! Make sure to ask to borrow the complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas to enjoy the beautiful beach that is a 3 minute walk away. I would 10/10 recommend staying at Casa Bella Cruz and will return again soon myself!

EXCELLENT little bungalow vibe. My boyfriend and I were looking for the perfect escape from LA for his birthday and this place could not have been more than ideal. The hostess was helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to make my boyfriend and I feel at home. She was instrumental in helping us plan day trips and make dinner reservations which totally made the trip. This place is truly special. It's a quick walk into town with great restaurants and weekend markets. It's also a short drive or bike ride to the beach. One of my favorite get aways in Mexico. We will DEFINITELY be back!

We spent 6 nights at Casa Bella Cruz and loved the place. It is in a great central location in La Cruz. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. We had a nice private patio outside our studio. Although it was a studio, it was quite large and had everything we needed including the most comfortable furniture we have ever had in Mexico. We enjoyed the use of the rooftop palapa and pool. The hosts were always available to assist their guests and asked if we needed anything. Sunday is a busy day in La Cruz and activities extend well into the evening; the others days of the week are pretty quiet. Would highly recommend this quaint Casa.

We stayed at Casa Bella Cruz for three nights in March 2022. This casa is a true hidden gem in the centre of La Cruz – close to everything! The suites are beautiful – fully renovated, spacious, clean, modern and super comfortable. The pool and patio area are stunning – lush, private and relaxing; a real oasis! Alex & Kyle (and Theo) were fabulous hosts and were incredibly accommodating. We will definitely be back! HIGHLY recommend! ♥

My sister and I arrived into La Cruz expecting to stay in our Casa, however, the power was out for many days. Alex was very kind to get us taken care of for a couple of days. Both her and her partner are very hospitable and very kind. The rooms are excellent, the pool is awesome and wow, I'd recommend this beautiful place to anyone. Plus, I love the sleepy bears... thank you so much for everything ❤️
