Great location and staff. Cold room with no hot water.

Negative: no soap, no shower, dirty. stinky, mal actitud etc etc.

Positive: Great bloke running the place, comfortable room in a central location and fast wifi!.

Positive: the location to the historical town, El Chepe train, Rapido bus is excellent and within walking distances. we did get boiling water upon request.. Negative: this is a shabby, run down accommodation and the cheap price is no excuse for the poor quality of bed linen - that was torn. the bed is extremely uncomfortable and the towel given was only a hand towel. really need to upgrade and fix this place up a bit.

Modest, inexpensive, spotless clean, full of flowers guest house where you would rent a room with a private bathroom with all amenities. This is a good place to stay specially if you are a solo traveler where friendly and courteous people would help you in any kind of way. The only thing though there is no air conditioning and the heat is almost unbearable with just a fan.

Positive: The landlord was quite welcoming, and the family answered partly my questions about el chepe though I had to push it a little bit as they were watching TV all day and seemed quite absorbed. Don't expect to find all the information you want though. The room was big enough, the paint on the wall was freshly done and the bed was comfortable although I did not sleep well bc I suspected the bedbugs bc it was so dirty and dusty everywhere though I could see none. In fact a new mattress is on top of a very old one that was probably infected first. Plants are nice in the entrance.... Good location from the center...and it felt rather safe during the day though there are 1 or 2 prostitutes in the street.. Negative: I got beaten 4 times by BEDBUGS in one night, and the scars are only gone now after one week has passed. I'm just praying now that I'm not carrying any bugs with me, after I had to wash all my clothes in hot water and clean my bags from any suspicious eggs. The room was very dirty and dusty and got hairs all over the bed, the floor, and a giant cockroach was found dead amongst the dust behind the piece of furniture that I had to push to access the electric plug. The toilets were not washed and it was left dirty after the last person came in this room. Also, It did not look like an hotel but a private house as all the family was living there. DON'T GO THERE even if it's cheaper than elsewhere. It was my worst hostel since I came to Mexico a month ago. Overall the hostel was dirty and the beds infected by BEDBUGS. I guess you could bear everything, the dirt and weird hostel for one night with a cheap price. However the price was not so cheap for what it is (this hotel=a disaster) and no price is enough cheap to be eaten alive by bedbugs at night..

Positive: Good location, near bus station from Creel and 5 minutes walk to the centre. Area not meant to be the safest at night - though I was OK as a single female coming back about 8pm. Lady who owns the place very nice. It's cheap.... Negative: Quite run down room, the door didn't really lock properly so there was a draft. Toilet didn't feel the cleanest. The keys for my door and the front door weren't ready when I arrived so I went out for a while, I returned and knocked and had to do it several times before the male owner would respond - was just watching the TV and didn't seem bothered to let me in. The lady was out getting the keys. So not great service from him..

Horrible experience at Casa de Huéspedes. After staying 10 nights and paid them in full, the host Ruben Sanchez held me at the door when i was checking out because he wanted to charge me half a day extra for a late check out. "After paying 10 nights". I checked out at 1:30pm. Days before in a WhatsApp txt, he stated that check out was at 1:30pm. But according to him I should have left at 12:00. He even called the police to retain me. If you have other options, stay somewhere else. Rooms are so dirty that i had to mop my room myself with clorox. They charge you $100 pesos extra per day for a gas heater, or you can drive 10 minutes to fill up the tank and pay it yourself.
