Restaurante Casa de los Muñecos nace en octubre del año 2006 como parte del “Museo Universitario Casa de los Muñecos” a manera de una muestra viva del arte y la tradición gastronómica de Puebla, desde entonces, se ha distinguido por integrar en su carta la tradicional cocina poblana y las nuevas tendencias de la cocina mexicana e internacional. En noviembre del año 2008 el Restaurante Casa de los Muñecos abrió las puertas de su segundo eslabón en el Complejo Cultural Universitario. Con un concepto contemporáneo en cuanto a sus instalaciones, pero conservando su esencia culinaria característica. El lugar ha tenido gran aceptación entre los exigentes comensales locales, de manera que se ha convertido en unos de los puntos de reunión favoritos dentro de la zona.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely excellent. I’ve truly never had a meal as good and with such excellent, attentive-yet-comfortable, professional service. The mole and pipian were delicious, as was the tortilla soup, and the complementary bread with artisanal spreads. We had a memorable strawberry jubilee dessert to top it all off, and the bill per person was only about 250 pesos, or $12 USD. We’re used to a meal of this quality in food and service costing $100+ USD.
Felix and the other waiters there anticipated our every need and were very friendly, but never overly attentive—something that can be hard to get right, but was done so well at our meal. The care and attention to detail given to the food and the experience was evident from the moment we ordered to the time we left. We left full of some delicious Poblano classics and ready to come back soon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The tasting menu fell quite flat unfortunately, there was nothing that really stood out. In general, the flavors were just too bland. However, timing of the dishes was on point, there were no long pauses in between. The service was nice.
