Nice room, bad bed. Good location but a little bit to noisy from nearby discotheque

Bottomless coffee during complimentary breakfast, puppies, free bikes to use, chill polyglot proprietor, cheap and conveniently ocated. Awesome!

Very clean and quiet hostal. Everyone qas very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is small but very good.

Economic and near the nightlife zone, dormitory with private bathroom, free bikes when available, kind and cool staff. I was happy to find this hostel by luck

The owner is quite grumpy. The bikes available are old and broken. The toilet in the rooms has an open roof so everyone can hear everything.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! The proprietor is temperamental, unpleasant, and unprofessional. He will also likely overcharge you for the wrong rooms. 1) Crazy temper. This man was temperamental and gave us a bad vibe from the beginning. Our room wasn’t ready so he held our suitcases in the lobby which is normal but I had a case of beer that I bought and asked if it would be okay to leave. He got a little defensive and said “everything left here is safe.” I smiled and made a light joke that I counted the beers and would know if anyone sneaked a drink. He got offended by this and told me he has enough money to buy his own. When I said I was kidding. He told me my joke was offensive. 2) Awkward vibe. Later in the evening when we returned from dinner the gate was locked and one of the proprietor’s employees eyed us suspiciously and reluctantly let us in even after we said we were guests. 2) Wrong room. Wrong price. Wouldn’t deduct hostelworld deposit. Here is where the real problems began. We were placed in a 7 person ensuite room but the proprietor told us he made a mistake and that we belonged in a 10 person room. He then told us he moved our bags and stuff from the beds he’d given us earlier that day and to bring them down to move into the ten person dorm. All the while, he was quoting us a charge of 1535 pesos. My friend checked the confirmation email from hostelworld which indicated we paid for a 6 person ensuite room for 1720 pesos minus the 326 deposit, which would be an actual total owed of 1394 pesos. This was inclusive of taxes per the email’s fine print. We were thus asked, at nearly 10PM, to pay more than what we should have for a 6 person ensuite but given a 10 person dorm. 3) Refused to listen and KICKED US OUT! We tried to point out the error and show him the email but he only kept shouting “no!” and wouldn’t look at the email. We naturally got angry as well and further asked him to look at the email. He then proceeded to kick us out of the hostel. In short, do not go. The proprietor is extremely unpleasant and you will get overcharged for the wrong room if you are not careful. PS there are two absolutely adorable puppies there. Someone should save them :(

The room was very hot and there were only two mobile fans for 8 beds. If u were lucky you could grab one. No towels provided. Breakfast was ok but too little. The owner was very unfriendly telling us that he doesn't like tourists who come to tulum and drink. Instead of being empathetic when I got robbed and the police called him for help he got super angry because his phone was ringing during the night. The only friendly creature living in this house was the owner's puppy.

Clean and quiet hostel. Very good breakfast. I would like to highlight the owner, Don Jaime. I arrived very soon in the morning after a long journey from Belize, without reservation, and he treated me very well, alowing me to have breakfast and to enter in the dorm before the check in time. Besides that, he and his partner are nice people to have a conversation.
