Casa Mia Suites - 37700 San Miguel de Allende

I stayed in room # 16 and I really loved it. The room is really big in my opinion, it has a separate bedroom with a door, ceiling fan, a separate living room with a TV, nice size dining table and kitchenette. The bedroom window opens directly on the street, but up on the second level. You can either enjoy the city sounds or shut the windows and wood panels to keep it more quiet. There is air conditioning in the bedroom which was wonderful! Just outside the suite there are steps to the roof which was very quiet and a wonderful place to hang out. I only stayed one night --I liked it so much that I wanted to rebook for later in my trip and it was already full.

1st visit to San Miguel de Allende and I didn't really know where to stay other than I wanted to be in Centro. Casa Mia Suites turned out to be a great choice. Just minutes on foot from the main plaza and bars and restaurants seemingly in every direction, the location is hard to beat. Check-in was quick and easy, I didn't require much attention from the staff but when I did, they were on it! Housekeeping did a nice job with daily service...they seemed to know when I would venture out as they would always clean my room while I was out and about. My room did have air-conditioning in the bedroom, which was nice. Absolutely no complaints from me! I will add a few notes of caution, however. The area is a bit hilly and Casa Mia is on a hill. Not super steep but if one has mobility issues, it might be a problem. There is no elevator at the hotel so if stairs are an issue, you may want to request a ground floor. I stayed in room 14 and there was no visual privacy on the door (Meaning there was a sheer window covering that one can see through. Not a big deal for me but I could see where it might bother some people). They assisted me with the Covid test requirements by arranging a mobile testing agency to come to the hotel and provide me with my test. That was a big relief. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my six night stay and certainly recommend the hotel.

Loved everything about this place. Suites are spacious and comfortable. Bed was very nice and courtyard was very inviting to sit in front of the suite and enjoy a glass of wine. Good value overall

I can't say enough about this hotel! The rooms are terrific, the staff was lovely and accommodating, and my stay here (with 17 other friends and family) was beyond my wildest dreams. The central courtyard is gorgeous and provided a great place for pre-adventure gathering. And the rooftop lounge area proved to be a favorite gathering place for talking, sharing a drink, and watching the sun set. Simply extraordinary!

My family booked 12 rooms & my wife’s family booked 2 rooms out of the 16 rooms here for my wedding weekend. Two of rooms’ safes were emptied out with very specific amounts & items. As you can see from the owners responses, they are deflecting the blame on the guests & denying that there could be any possibility that they were robbed. The aggressive & unapologetic response from the owners by itself should deter you from staying here. If we were lying, why would we have very specific amounts or why wouldn’t we claim that all the rooms were robbed? What was such a beautiful weekend, ended with this horrible incident. Do not stay here if you want to deal with the possibility of having your money & goods stolen then being blamed for it. Here is my advice to the management. Instead of deflecting blame and putting the burden of proof on the guests/victims, how about we take a proactive approach to the situation. Assist and offer the filing of a report to local law enforcement, review and offer the camera footage, the room safes where the stolen goods were kept are electronic, so you can easily see when they were accessed, using what method (most hotel rooms safes have an emergency combination and master key at their disposal, and you can print out a log of when they were opened). We have exact times on when my family were not in their rooms to narrow the search for proof, which rooms where stolen from, and the exact amount and inventory of what was stolen I really like to stress that we would have gladly stayed awhile to figure out the situation, but we had flights to catch and schedules to keep, and the staff was really combative making it difficult to figure out, which is the only reason why my family is very upset over this and on here giving their story. If the owner would like to contact me or I him/her, I will gladly arrange for us to have a civil and productive conversation. With the agreement that we do not use other online forums (i.e. reddit, 9gag, etc) to discredit each other. Thank you

The hotel is located two blocks from the main square of San Miguel de Allende. The hotel staff is very attentive and helpful, at all times we feel at home. The hotel is decorated in a very Mexican style and its rooms are spacious, since they are mostly apartments. Without a doubt I would stay here again.

It’s a beautiful place to stay, we had a great experience here until we didn’t. Some relatives opened their safes and had money missing. They have a master key for all the safes (makes sense), we know this because we asked them to unlock one of them for us, as it was accidentally locked, a couple days after this we left and realized about the missing money. We tried to contact someone to clarify this, but couldn’t get any help as we had to catch a flight. I hope this is an isolated case, and not an actual practice, as it stains the image of such a beautiful country.

Each suite is unique, colorful, and a perfect home away from home. We were there with several other families, so our group used 8 of the hotel's suites. All of them were so cute. Our family was in #8, which had a little balcony with a couple metal rocking chairs overlooking the courtyard. Our suite had 2 queen size beds and a couch, so could sleep 5. The shower in our room was the kind of shower you wish you never had to get out of. Our kitchen had a microwave, stove, coffee maker, full size refrigerator, dishes, pans, etc., which would have been perfect for cooking up great meals, but with so many amazing restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, we never cooked in our suite. Most of our time at Casa Mia Suites was spent hanging out with our friends in the quaint courtyard or on the rooftop, which had a large table and several lounging areas where you could relax and enjoy the views. I missed this place as soon as we left, and I would definitely stay here again!
