Make sure you go during the dry season. We just went and the weather was great but the water was brown. The waterfall was full of water which was beautiful. The cave was so so nice! The water inside the cave doesn’t get affected by the rain.

We took a walking tour to the top of Tamul with guide Edder from Guia huastk vertical. Highly recommend Edder. Super Buena onda! The easy walk down to the top of Tamul alongside the river is beautiful and easy. The viewing area at the top is fantastic and chill. It is eclipsed by the view from the bottom where you feel and see the full force of these incredible falls. The climb down is easy but not for the faint of heart. The climb up is tougher but well worth it and rewarded by a cool swim at the top.

Absolutely great experience for only 200 pesos plus a small entrance fee. Stunning scenes and very enjoyable boat rowing experience where we got soaked while water fighting with other boats. The cavern was also so much fun swimming and splashing in pristine water. Must visit.

Tremendous beauty in nature. Pictures don't do justice to the clear mountain water and green foliage you see in real life. You won't regret a peso you spent.

The most beautiful waterfall in all of mexico. The only way to reach the waterfall is 30 min by paddle boat with a guide. Once there the views are all worth it.

Very nice trip to the waterfall by canoe ?, it offers a good arm exercise. On the way back the guide will take you to a cenote and small waterfall where you can go for a swim. It was a lovely adventure.

There are two ways to see the falls: boat or hiking. Boats leave from Embarcadero a Cascada Tamúl La Morena. There is a $10 peso every fee cost plus at least $200 for the boat ($1600 per boat or $200 per person, whatever is more). A guide comes with you. It is 4 km to the waterfall. You don't get very close to it. On the way back you stop at a cenote / cave for more swimming. The trip is nice and very pretty. Hiking drive to Campomento Tamul. The last 5 miles of the road is pretty rough. You will have to pay $20 pesos to pass a gate at one point. Then there is an entry fee cost of $50 pesos per person plus $20 for parking. The hike is 1 km but it is very pretty. Then you climb down some really old stair ladders. And you can see the waterfall from the side. You get much closer than with the boats. There's no easy way down to the water and the river is flowing very fast. Not a good place to swim at the bottom, but there are areas to swim at the top of the waterfall. The first time I tried to hike to the waterfall there were people who told me It was no longer an option. They were at the mouth of the road in El Naranjito. They said it was private property and I had to go with a tour and it was at least $1000 pesos. I didn't want to pay that much so I left. I came back a different day and they were not there. I continued down the road and nobody said anything to me. I got to a gate about halfway and paid a guy 20 pesos to continue. He seemed happy and did not tell me I needed a guide. I think it was his private property. Then I got to the entrance and paid 50 pesos to a lady. She was really happy and didn't say I needed a guide. It all worked out. This was January 2022.

There are two entrances / 2 ways to go there. Both of them are difficult. 1st one is the more difficult one. you’ll have to drive on a extremely rocky small road, pay 20 pesos per person, then keep on driving on the rocky small road again. Our car is 4-wheel-drive Mercedes-Benz, but still I felt like my car was about to be shaken apart. And you might get lost because that’s are some Fork in the road where there’s no sign. And if you are lucky enough to get through all these, you’ll arrive at a so called “hotel”. You can park outside and walk through the “hotel” and pay 50 pesos per person plus per car. Then you’ll walk a long way, better wear a good pair of sneakers. Walk, climb, climb up and down the mountains on the wild path…. Better be care and don’t get lost….If you love climbing wild mountains, this may be good for you….we finally get to a place where you can over look the top part of the waterfall from the side…then we gave up. Maybe keep going will get you to a beautiful place where you can see the whole waterfall from side ( I don’t think you can see from the front because of the narrow gorge), but……As for the 2nd entrance/ way, you’ll have to paddle all the way there and back, only seeing the waterfall from far and side for some time. if you are a small group, get lucky to join with others for one boat, otherwise they will charge you for a whole boat ( 1600 pesos per boat, 200 pesos per person if 8 people). Lots of padding and hot sun….but you may make some friends, paddle as a team, splash one another and water fight with other boat. The last but not the least, stop the boat on the way back, climb up a little hill and swim in a cave, which is a unique experience. Overall if you are looking for swimming below or near a waterfall or a relaxing vacation, it’s not for you.
