Our family was scammed by June Heart, a representative of "Sayulita Life". She should not be trusted with your booking or vacation plans. My family had recieved confirmation and paid in full for a beautiful beach front unit. 3 months later June Heart said that she accidentally double booked our place because she had a bad week due to a family issue. This is unaccaptable when entrusted with 10000$ of someone elses money. She then moved us for the second half of our vacation to casa tortougas. However, the worst part of booking through "Sayulitia Life" only became apparent the day before we arrived in Mexico. We recieved an email stating that they had recently changed the name of the casa we had booked 8 months in advance. This was a bold faced lie. We booked casa estrella and were put in casa milu, a much worse unit in the same complex. There could not have been a name change because the towels were embroidered with "milu" and there was a rusty metal sign on the wall that said "casa milu". If you have any sense whatsoever find a different company to book through or book your vacation yourself. You cannot trust "Sayulita Life" or June Heart with your money. They have tha ability to ruin your vacation so they can make a bigger profit by re-booking your pre-confirmed unit to someone else for a higher price closer to the move in date. I've travelled to every continent other then Antarctica, including some sketchy countries, and I have never felt so cheated.

It is painful to read the cluster of negative reviews from (seemingly) one group last week. We stay at Casitas Tortugas every year when we come to Sayulita, and are staying here right now. Marcelo has created a beautiful sanctuary in the hustle-bustle of Sayulita. We love the open layout of casitas, the attention to detail, and the gracious hospitality offered here. We stay in the penthouse which feels like a tree house in the jungle, shrouded by bamboo and accessed by a romantic spiral staircase. Many would consider this to be the perfect escape and a slice of paradise, but if you cannot appreciate rustic charm and have never seen an insect, there are plenty of luxury villas awaiting you in Puerto Vallarta. Sayulita is not for everyone, but if you want to stay in an affordable jungle suite near the heart of the town, you will not go wrong with Casitas Tortugas :)

Stayed here for a week in both the Jungle Penthouse and the 2.5 bedroom suite. Great location close to the town square and the beach. Owner was really friendly and helpful. Very affordable with wifi, boogie boards to borrow and of course the very cute turtles in the pond.

Perfectly Wonderful! My husband and I stayed with Marcelo in the Penthouse in December of 2016. Marcelo made it all very easy. He coordinated airport pick up with an amazing driver, Daniel. Boogie boards and surfboards are available for use. The penthouse is open to nature and the lush tropical surroundings. Perfect for watching iguanas and birds in the trees. There is plenty of room for two and a small enclosed bedroom for a third person. Anything we needed, Marcelo had already provided or was able to direct us to it. The location is maybe 5 minutes to the center of town or the beach if you walk slowly which happens after about 36 hours in Sayulita. The stay was wonderful. Thank you!
