★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very beautiful building, needs more information and staff far as I can see. Expositions that are there are nice also but you need to check before go there

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fabulous day trip from Oaxaca. Francisco Toledo's personal art collection is exhibited in this historic building. The grounds are spectacular to walk around as are the unique terracotta steps. By donation and don't miss the paper factory

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really loved this relaxed day trip from Oaxaca. If you have time to spare or are gallery/museum -obsessed like myself I would definitely recommend. There was a small and well-thought photo exhibit on Graciela Iturbide but the real draw is the building itself and the views.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place with splendid views. It's interesting and I had the chance to see an exhibition by a photographer named Flor Garduño. However, it was the only artistic thing in the whole space. Maybe I wasn't lucky and more exhibitions and events are held in other dates.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely a place to go on the Oaxaca circuit. Incredibly beautiful Italian Renaissance bldg restored to become a spacious gallery, with wonderful grounds. While St Augustine has little else for tourists to visit just a half day trip there from Oaxaca is very worthwhile. The village is set in the foothills of the mountains with lots of water around. The caller exhibited a mind-blowing South African artist installation which is was mind altering. Go for the surprise.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An interesting, and beautiful, multimedia arts center. The building and grounds are absolutely gorgeous. Word to the wise: There is not a lot of art on display (make sure you check the website before you go) so you'll be spending most of your time wandering the grounds. Worth the +/- hour trip out of town if you have the time to spare (and reliable transportation) though given all the cultural attractions in Oaxaca I wouldn't rank it as a must see.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An incredible space in an old abandoned textile factory meticulously restored. In the hills above San Augustin Etla. Rotating art exhibitions and cultural events. Not to be missed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome place, building and museum.
Loads of history in the old paper and textile museum, saved by Francisco Toledo and made into a public museum.
Great art, photography and historical expositions. Just a great place for a day out!
