★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow! From pastries, groceries, outdoor furniture, electronics everything is well organized. The staff looked properly dressed to handle and serve food. Nice shaded parking area and easy to find. Muy buena tienda!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are visiting Playa for an extended stay and plan on cooking some of your meals, this is the place to go to get supplies. Everything you need and a very friendly, helpful staff. We are staying in Playa again next winter and Chedraui will be our local grocery store again,. :-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found that a baby cot was in this store's storage from their website.
Went to the store and after asking 4 times, someone went to the storage to check if they had it. Came back and said that they don't have it.
Then an hour later, to confirm that indeed they're out of stock, i ordered it from the webpage and said that i'll go and pick it up. Half an hour later i got an e-mail saying that the baby cot is ready for pick up. And it was.
In summary: really really bad customer service. But an extra star for having the cheapest baby cot that i could find online for our short visit here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best supermarket in town. A lot more walkable and organizing than nearby Walmart. Meat and seafood are fresh. It has a little ceviche bar which would offer make to order ceviche. Prices for toys and Souvenir is more Expensive than Walmart though

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love this market! It has everything you need. It's a one-stop shop. You've got food, clothing, toys, personal hygiene, and more. Don't pay twice the price at your hotel for things. Sunscreen is half the cost here. Snorkel gear is about $13. You can even pick up a motorcycle or scooter. There is ample parking and also some other shops inside the entrance of Chedraui.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While visiting my niece in Playa on March 26, 2022 we came to get a few basics for breakfast. We were browsing in the bakery department and saw the most racist, insensitive and totally unacceptable thing. Some cupcakes had been decorated using blackface. My family and I were horrified. How could a company allow such a racist thing be sold knowing that black people from all nations are spending their hard earned money only to be disrespected. Chedraui owes the Black community an apology and should be educating their employees on the history behind such offensive characters. Racism should not be tolerated anywhere.
