The place looks good, however there is not a receptionist all the time. You need to ask in advance to have cleaning service and it’s a little annoying when you just want to relax and chill. Swimming pool would benefit from a tune up cleaning.

everything was better than expected. We had the top floor unit, which itself was 2 stories with the top floor being a private terrace with mini pool with a view. We were 4 people and there was ample space for all of us. I wish both bathrooms were downstairs but the exercise is always welcome. The service was exemplary , Delfina and Mariana were amazing hosts and were very welcoming and accomodating. The only thing that could be better is proximity to town, although it is like 2 km away, being in town could have it's advantages. I would highly recommend this place to young professionals or if you're on a budget but still want some of the luxury

My partner and I spent two nights in one of the condos here. The condo was very modern and pretty spacious. Very nice and modern style. However, the water in our pool was green, we contacted the owner of the place and he said it should be clean and that he will contact the pool specialist to come and take a look. The guy never showed up, so we didn't use our pool which was pretty disappointing. The other problem we had was that the water in the place was salty! I've never experienced that problem before, even taking a shower felt uncomfortable. Even though the place was nice and clean, I don't know if I would ever pay to stay there again.

Stayed at the property for 4-weeks. The villas are well designed, spacious and the private plunge pool was particularly useful for social distancing (during Covid). I worked remotely and had no issues with the WiFi network, around 50+ mbps which is more than enough for zoom calls. The service did drop out once due to a network failure in the town. Despite this, I did find it an ideal location to work and play. Cafes and restaurants nearby, all a short bike ride away and the beach zone was a quick 15 mins ride. There was no reception due to limited staffing but Nohely (a receptionist front the nearby sister property) was a great support.

We stayed two nights in Saasil and reality was way better than pics online! It’s a HUGE space with a fridge, laundry, private pool balcony, two rooms! So so spacious for such a great price The wifi was good. There’s no room service or anything like this, but a perfect getaway and just a short bike ride or walk down to the strip where there are tons of restaurants etc. Only complaint is that the shower didn’t have too much hot water. WiFi was spotty at times as well but overall I wish we stayed here longer!! It was perfect

The place is really beautiful for the value. Most likely due to the fact that it's at the end of town, but absolutely walking/biking distance to. Our condo had a large kitchen, washer/dryer (though broken from last person who stayed there, but offered free laundry!), huge living room, large balcony, a pool and 2 washrooms! The pool was really cold though so while pretty to look at, we didn't use it. Free parking is available. There is construction around, but it's not super loud and not disruptive. It is a newly developed area and the roads are not paved, but manageable. There's Gypsea Market 5 minutes away, but it's really expensive so only go for niche items, not essentials. Good selection of Mezcal compared to other grocery stores! Receptionist, Nohely (I think that's her name??), was super helpful! Would go back!

So Saasil was an adventure to get to. The road to the place is very bad, its more of just rubble then an actual road. So drive very carefully when going to it. I agree with others that it was hard to find especially at night. It did feel unsafe at night because you have to get off road to the rubble road in order to get to the hotel. The area surrounding it was all under construction hence why it was off road. The interior of the place was really nice tho, the service was great, the cleaning lady was very sweet. Loved the pool, it cleaned automatically everyday in the morning. The main pool is open all night so that was a plus. For the room, there is only SALT water that comes from the taps, so be prepared to brush your teeth with salty water. We did not have any problem with the water running out however, we ran into problems with the toilet not flushing because there was not enough water for it to refill. but that was because our washing machine was running and the water was being used there. Saasil is a drive from downtown Tulum, we had a car so it would be like a 10 minute drive which was not bad at all. If location matters i suggest you find a place in downtown. Some very minor things that I noticed were that it was dusty, the cleaning was not as clean as I would have liked. The hand soap bottle was sticky and dirty along with other objects in the place. They cared more about the surface of everything to be clean but if you really looked you saw that it wasn't as clean. Even though the area was underdeveloped it was still very nice to as long as you stayed INSIDE of Saasil, it was fun with my friends but it also felt very unsafe at night. All in all i would definitely visit Tulum again but i am not sure i would live in Saasil unless the next time i go the area is more developed and felt more safe. But if you're looking for a reasonable priced place to stay I would recommend it. Just be vigilant, we did not encounter anything other than being chased by 2 dogs at night while in the car but other than that we were good and enjoyed our stay.

I rented an apartment here for what was supposed to be a year long lease, but left after 2 months because my experience with the management was terrible (and continues to be terrible). First, we moved into a filthy apartment and had to fight to get our apartment cleaned. A day after it was cleaned (thanks to our real estate agent) the water heater burst and leaked all over our floors. A few days later the WiFi went out because they forgot to pay the bill and they refused to help us for almost three days. I work from home and the nature of my work is private so I had to get a hotel room for one of the days. The second month we were living there the electricity in our apartment was cut off for a few days and we had to stay in another apartment in the complex. There’s more, but that paints the picture. Luckily we were able to move. But, they kept over $360 of my security deposit to make sure they could cover our electricity bill. It has been over two months and they still haven’t given me any of my security deposit back. All in all, there are so many places to stay in Tulum. Beautiful places with management who cares about you. There’s no reason, in my mind, to stay here.
