Stopped by this pop up puesto looking for pozole it quickly took second fiddle to the star of the evening the pork head tacos. I didn't ask but I believe they use all parts of the pigs head the outcome is absolute bliss paired with what they call the salsa perrona a habanero based sauce, add some lime a bit of salt and you are set. They can also top a tostada with this meat if you're in need of a satisfying crunch. This is an absolute must try taco don't be intimidated by the heads staring back at you just above the griddle.

Great stall to grab dinner or a late night snacks. Both the pozole and the tacos are delicious and their habanero sauce makes it even better. Seems really popular with locals.

Can’t go wrong with anything. Pozole and tacos are a MUST. We’ve tried everything and think the pork is slightly more juicy and rich than the beef. Best food we ate in Oaxaca and that’s saying a lot for a city with such great food. Opens when the sun sets and stays open late.

So good... If you like fatty pork. So tender it was almost liquid, and the habanero sauce was something else. Maybe not for you if you prefer lean meat tho

The best pozole, toastas & tacos in Oaxaca. Their tacos are not typical tacos I used to have before but AMAZING!! The orange hot sauce is super spicy but soooo tasty!!

The pozole here was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Make sure you get it with the carne de res, as they have that option, or you can get it just with chicken. It’s a very busy stand- we were super lucky to be able to grab seats- most folks just stood around and ate on their feet! If you’re very hungry, make sure to grab at least 3-4 of the tacos. The spicy orange habanero sauce is THE BEST, so don’t miss out on that. We have a pretty high spice threshold so the sauce was absolutely delicious to us. Make sure to try it first if your spice tolerance isn’t that high.

One of our favorite meals in Oaxaca! The most delicious pozole I’ve ever had with guacamole. We also had the taquitos de puerco and the tostada de res. Everything was so delicious. Don’t miss this gem!
