I think that is already everything said about this ancient ruins. It was just amazing to visit this place, some kind of peace and magic! We came in the morning hours ( booked the early morning excursion with get your guide ) so by noon when everyone is arriving and it starts to get crowded, we was leaving. We was really thankful for this because we succeed like this even to make some pictures with no people in the back by the pyramid...

It was such a great experience! Our tour guide was amazing, and it was definitely a beautiful experience. I can understand why it's a 7th wonder. So, much history in one place. The locals definitely cherish this Mayan treasure, so please respect their history and their rules. There are tons of souvenir booths and photo opportunities along the trail waking up to the pyramids. There is a lot of dust and very little shade, so be prepared!

Very interesting archeological place. Get ready to walk and to buy two tickets for one person, yes, one is 453 pesos, you can pay by card, and other robe 80 pesos only cash. Yes it's weird.

be prepared to wear a sweaty mask entire time under the heat and the sun. The experience could have been better without this “anti real science” mask mandatory and souvenir hard sell ?‍??‍??‍??‍??‍?

The night show is amazing, it's an engaging multimedia history. You should also consider coming daytime to feel the scale of the place, while the illumination at night creates the magic. And all the stars. You should come no sooner than 10 minutes before the show starts. They might occasionally have double bookings.

The show itself lasted 20 minutes but if you arrive at 7pm you will get a whole hour of taking pictures of the lighted structures with the bright sky and stars in the background. Absolutely NO FLASH photography, the visitors at this place will let you know if you’re not following the polite rules

We went there with the bus collectivo (40m/pax $MX). Departure at 7h00 and there is 45min. We arrived at 8h00 for the opening. The entrance cost 571 $MX/pax. The whole tour takes around 3h. I will advise to book a guided tour, try to group it with other people, since the explanation on site is minimal or memorize the Wikipedia page ?You will also find toilette inside, refreshement, and 300+ souvenir shop along every path. one of the must visit places in the world. great I got it of my bucket list. But it is probably not a place you visit more than once. It is smaller and emptier than I expected. Compared to ancient pyramids of Ankor Wat, there is not much here, other than vendors who try to sell you "authentic" things and T-Shirts made in Asia. The El Castillo Pyramid is partially restored. 2 of its sides are covered with modern stones. The worst are the guards and enforcement of no photography with professional lenses or taking videos with GoPros rules. I understand they do not allow tripods, but to prohibit bringing flash is silly. Like it can do more damage than a sun, or I would be able to light the entire pyramid with a tiny thing. You cannot climb the pyramid. You do not need more than 2 hours for this site. It is recommended to come very early, at the time of opening is the best, to avoid buses bringing crowds starting at around 10 am. A drive from Cancun area is approximately 3 hours. If you want to experience mayan pyramids in all their archeological glory, where you can get on top and have significantly fewer other tourists, visit a complex in Ek Balam, which is about 1 hour drive from Chichen Itza.
