★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chocolate de Oaxaca La Soledad is contiguous with and across the street from Chocolate Mayordomo. It's possible because Chocolate Mayordomo has spread into all areas. Chocolate Mayordomo, on this side of the street, is strictly industrial. Here they mill chocolate and chocolate additives into dusty heaps. They also sell cocoa beans by the kilo from gunny sacks
Chocolate de Oaxaca La Soledad does the same thing as Chocolate Mayordomo. It's just that Chocolate Mayordomo is everywhere and more likely to grab your attention before anybody else can get to you.
Samples of everything -- chocolate, mole -- are given free by everyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After being met with apathy and a lack of enthusiasm at Mayordomo, we walked across the street to this place, which couldn’t have been more different. We received numerous samples and excellent service. Additionally the same building houses an Artisanal Crafts Market, where we especially enjoyed seeing the textile maker operate his loom! From the main shop, we ended up purchasing coffee, chocolate, and chapulines. Check it out!
