★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing local food. The owner and his wife are so nice. They let us taste different kinds of mole (all so good) and advised us in what to eat. The whole experience was so great, I recommend everybody to eat here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They won me over completely! The couple that runs the place is delightful, very attentive to their guests, and ever so caring.. I was first invited for a tasting of 5 different varieties of mole poblano - all of which were amazing (my personal favourites being the tradicional, or classic mole, and the pipian Verde, or green mole). But then I went back a second time and had the manchamanteles, which blew my mind! The most amazing dish I have had so far in Mexico!! I wanted to go back a third, and a fourth, and several more times - but had way too much on my hands for the limited time I had in Puebla.. I really regret not having been able to buy their ready to cook mole packs, so I could recreate a bit of those memories once I got back home.. But you should! Really cannot recommend this place enough :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the loveliest, most memorable meals I’ve had. Wonderful hospitality from the owners & incredible moles.
Perhaps skip starters and have a Festival of Moles all to yourself. The vegetarian version had cheese at the bottom of the little pots and was delicious.
The ice cream with candied chili peppers was fantastic.

Everything - from decor, music, presentation to menu options, the taste of food and attention - made it one of the best restaurants I've been to in Mexico. Vegetarian options are available (vegan would be more difficult though, I imagine). Try the hot chocolate! Real stuff. Prices are more than reasonable. You might feel a little lost when choosing what to order, especially if you're not Mexican, don't fret and just take enmoladas!:) I loved them. Definitely a place to visit when in Puebla

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was truly a culinary experience. The presentation of each dish was beautiful and food was so rich with flavors. You are started off with a little sampling of 5 moles to try and was great to try as you really understand the flavors they have to offer. We enjoyed every dish we had and would repeat for sure. Have to say the sopa Crema de Rejas, as well as the molades was wonderful.
The owner took care of us and treated us great. We enjoyed the experience so much and was perfect to start our trip in Puebla. This is for sure a repeat and will be back next time we are in town. In fact we came back a second time a few days later as we were so impressed.
Tip: As of the time we went, the restaurant was newer and the name on the front was not the same of the place itself. Put a picture of the outside so you know it is the right place.
