Did some searching on the map and found this place the day we rented a Jeep and explored the island. The views are incredible. You’re up on a bluff on the east side of the island, overlooking western Caribbean and just WOW! That’s what we felt we were paying for as yes, the prices weren’t inexpensive, but also we live downtown back home and prices aren’t inexpensive there either so $10-12 for a margarita is reasonable for us. We tried the blue margarita (yes, strong as it suggests, yum!) and many cervezas. My chicken quesadilla was simple but VERY flavorful as were my husbands shrimp tacos. Our fav had to be the guac and ‘salsa’ (more like a spicy pico!), sooo fresh! We spent better than a few hours there, at a table out on the bluff, just chatting with other guests and the staff (yo hablo español) so that was nice interacting with them as well. An older gentleman was there making grasshoppers and other items. Would recommend and will be back!

Super fun spot to stop and have a drink or two when you tour around the island. Food: it was just a few days after the hurricane so maybe it wasn’t the best call. We got some nachos for three people and it was like 10 chips — so maybe a order per person would have been better. Wish we had time to order more food. Drinks: cold and good Service: was excellent! Always smiling and laughing and super attentive!! Never were we sitting waiting, wondering where our server was. Five stars. It is higher up so you have a beautiful view of the ocean. Excellent breeze. Cost: Super great!

The most charming place on the island. Unbeatable location, delicious dishes and exquisite service. You must try the chicken tacos. They have a dog and a variety of birds. Highly recommended.

Great location with lots of parrots and puppies running around, which was a lot of fun after a drink or two. Be aware, that Coconuts only accepts cash. All of their drinks were quite strong, but not the best I've ever had by any means. There were also constantly bugs in my drinks, but this is just something that you should expect in this area. There isn't really a way to solve the bug issue. My girlfriend and I learned about the strong drinks and the cash only policy AFTER we had ordered, which is definitely our fault, but does seem like something they should tell people up front. They weren't particularly happy about it (and I can't blame them), but we eventually made it right. We went back to our hotel next door, they called a cab to take us back to town so we could get cash from an ATM and then go back to Coconuts and pay our bill. We felt so silly, but they were very friendly and understanding about it. This is why I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 3. The food and drinks weren't the best but not the worst either. After reading many of the reviews for this place, I'd say to disregard the extremes because its actually somewhere in the middle. Yes, they have a book with photos of topless patrons in it. They never showed it to us, it was just on the bar. Not sure why that was such a talking point in other reviews. If you're staying at Ventanas Al Mar, i'd recommend having food there and then having a drink at Coconuts.

This was our second stop on our trip around the island and it was awesome. Drinks were good, the bar and location itself is top notch. Staff was friendly, and the nachos we had were awesome. Will definitely stop by here next time we do a trip around the island. The tables on top of the cliff with the sand are amazing.

First of all, this place deserves a visit for it's position and views alone We walked in and had our temperatures checked, and hands satirized right away. We say down, and ordered drinks..... I'll be honest it took a while to get a drink and chips but perhaps we stopped at a busy time (around 1pm). I ordered a margarita, and it was so strong (like tequila on rocks), that I stated buzzing after a few sips. no complaints! Then we got chips and salsa. Side note, I don't eat spice food ...and oh boy my mouth was on fire. Between the strong drink and spicy salsa, I couldn't really taste fish tacos. But I think they were good?. Overall, a must stop by place. I just wish the salsa was not hot (or at least warn me), and the drink wasn't that strong

Who doesn’t like strong margaritas, Iguanas and ocean views? We enjoyed it. I had the shrimp tacos which were great. Had the blue margarita which was as strong as they say. Great lunch!

Location and view cannot be better. There are tables on the cliffside scattered among some trees for shade which was nice. Also provided a bit of separation from others. The drinks were very good, but priced like a tourist trap. Food was okay at best. We got chicken tacos and beef tacos. Neither had much flavor and left us wishing we had eaten elsewhere. However, the chips and salsa were very good so maybe we just ordered the wrong thing or hit it on an off day. Overall the location, views, atmosphere and staff were fantastic, but the food and drinks were overpriced and middle of the road at best.
