Racism towards the tourist, aggressiveness towards the patient, Unpleasant, without consideration for the patient, probable place of tax evasion, etc. Not a real hospital. Tourist racism: they do not believe you that you tell them that the pcr test is negative to enter to do a radio. They attack you by telling you that they will not take care of you after the doctor has ordered tests. They do a pcr test which left my nostril sore for 24 hours but they never wanted to give me a paper indicating that he had done a test and that he was negative. Weird. I asked to see the director. The director has no consideration for foreign patients: she never saw me and it was her secretary who acted as the intermediary between the two of us. With the response to a post it allowing me to enter the Pleasant enclosure ... Payment is not made by credit card. Only in cash. Weird. So unprofessional that my first name must have had 3 different spellings between all the people who registered my file (covid, cash register, x-ray). At 3 p.m. there were no patients on the premises and 2 staff. I almost had to beg for someone to explain to me how to get a report on my radio ... The interior rooms are brand new, however, the radiological service does not have enough to print your radio, so you have to take a picture of the computer showing the radio; truthful. The equipment is rotten and where you are received for the pcr test, the false ceiling collapses and the equipment (desk, bed) is rusted. After 2 years of traveling in Latin America, this is the worst hospital I have encountered in terms of patient contact, management and follow-up.

My wife was seen in the ER late at night by a doctor, given 3 prescriptions and the total cost was $12. Care and service was on par or better than any US healthcare clinic.

Imagine being a needy American at 3 AM with a severe cold during COVID. No, it was not COVID but there was no way of knowing that for sure at this point, my test wouldn't be until later. Still, the staff saw and treated me. They did not have anyone fluent in English (I'm assuming that guy was sound asleep) but they patiently used Google Translate to make sure my concerns were addressed. No, it was not the shiney American hospital I'm used to but it was only 175 pesos to get exactly the treatment I needed. When I handed the cashier $175, I was completely blown away when this man laughed at me, explained it was in pesos AND GAVE ME THE $160 BACK THAT HE COULD HAVE USES A LOT MORE THAN ME. I can't tell you how pleasantly surprised I was. Was it ideal? No. But it was everything I needed and it saved my trip from total disaster. I can't thank the staff enough. If you are a tourist, or anyone really, and need medical attention, I would not hesitate to go here. Update: AND they just treated my wife for pnemonia. 5 out of 5, would recommend. The hospital I mean, not pnemonia, or getting sick on vacation.

I went here at 7:00 at night with an ear infection. I saw a doctor after about 20 minutes, and received excellent care. And the cost was only 75 pesos ($4 USD). The nurse and staff did not speak English, but between a few words of Spanish and Google Translate app of my phone, it worked out. The doctor spoke good English, which made things very easy.

We unfortunately had symptoms of COVID and visited the hospital with exhaustion, body aches and sore throat amongst other things. A very kind woman at the main door notified us there were 4 people ahead of us. It took approximately 1.5 hours to be called for entry to the emergency wing door (which is separate from the main entrance and on the right side). While we were waiting a man was turned away as he was only looking for documentation which is only permitted until 11:00AM. There were other poor souls in line behind and ahead of us who were exhibiting symptoms of COVID also. We went through the intake process and the nurse only spoke Spanish. She was helpful and asked us to take our blood pressure, blood oxygen level and temperature. It was not a frightening or upsetting experience at all. The hospital is simply taking measures to prevent contamination. Some of the equipment like the thermometer was not sanitized. We were then seen by Dr. Bucio Aldana who in my view is a saint . He spoke some English and was was diligent in asking our symptoms and vaccination status ( we both have had our second dose of vaccine). He provided a diagnosis of COVID for us both based on a positive test we had the night before amongst a variety of painful and awful symptoms. We were given medicine and an order to isolate for 10 days. The costs for the treatment were covered by the government. Out of gratitude for this positive experience, we will gladly adhere to this simple order. Dr. Bucio Aldana and all the hard working staff at the hospital are heroes to us. We can now focus on getting well from COVID without fear, this makes a huge difference. Thank you to all those who fearlessly helped us today!!

Travelling yankees with a possible kidney infection. Greeted at the door by staff, 1 min later the doc came and talked to us outside. Was very helpful and explained what was going on. Gave us name of over the counter med available at a pharmacy. Cost of consultation? Zero. Meds were 18 bucks. It took longer to rent a golf cart to get to the hospital.
