★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great apartment next to old Maya temple ruins. Stayed here for four weeks with my wife. As an american I felt very safe here. The Playacar security staff patrolled day and night. This building and apartment is on the end of a dead end street. Hardly any traffic. We enjoyed swimming every morning in the well cared for swimming pool. The apartment had everything we needed, TV, good WiFi, views of the temple and sea, comfy beds, clean rooms. We also asked for weekly cleaning which never was a problem. Walking into this Playacar area from the busy tourist corners was always a pleasent joy! Our contact Bruno always helped us quickly with any questions or problems we had.
Too good to be true? Well, two things did bother us a bit. Most of the storage cupboards in the livingroom and kitchen were filled with the owners stuff and the kitchen could use some TLC like sharp knives.
When we come back to Playacar/Playa del Carmen, we would come back here. It felt like home.
