My husband and I have been staying at a condo in Plaza Dorada for years -- and we love it! The entire building is well-kept, the staff is extremely friendly, the maid service is fantastic, and there's definitely a feeling of "community" amongst the owners of the condos there. Plus, it's a gated building so it's very secure. The pool's not large, so if you're headed to Puerto Vallarta to swim laps, this isn't the pool for you. But, we're beach people so a small pool doesn't bother us. Plaza Dorada is right on the beach, but it's also extremely close to a myriad of choices for eating out (in fact, there are two restaurants in the same building), plus shopping, the bank (ATMs right next door!), and the Malecón is just a quick walk north. I highly, HIGHLY recommend Plaza Dorada for any length of stay in PV -- you'll be glad you decided to stay in a clean, friendly building.
