★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Esta es la única forma de descargar todo el coraje que la negligencia médica puede ocasionar. Lleve a mi chihuahua por una 3ra opinión por una bolita que le había salido abajo del hocico, ya que en las dos anteriores me habían dado un diagnostico superficial sin estudios y me recomendaron este lugar porque "si revisaban hasta el más mínimo detalle". Cabe aclarar, que no soy veterinaria y después de los dos diagnósticos fallidos anteriores YO le sugerí la doctora que pudieran ser los dientes.
Durante todo el proceso estuvo con una niña a la que le estuvo preguntando que hacer, que sugería, que qué me recomendaba... Entiendo que las personas que se preparan para lo mismo necesitan atender casos presenciales pero esta vez solo usaron mi perro para experimentar.
La niña nerviosa le preguntó que si debían dormirlo para revisarlo y nos hicieron llenar la misma forma que todos que en caso de no despertar es nuestra responsabilidad, etc. Después de que la niña no supo bien qué decir, la doctora sugirió hacer una profilaxis, extracciones y una toma de muestra para ver que era.
Para cobrar estuvo al día (consulta + profilaxis + estudios + medicamentos) dijo que no era nada de los dientes, y que con el medicamento tenia que ir todo bien. Llamamos un par de veces para pedir los resultados de los estudios que nunca se nos entregaron y nos dieron largas diciendo que ellos nos llamaban. No volví a llamar porque la inflamación había bajado y pensé que por fin habían dado en el clavo.
Un par de meses después volvió a salirle e intentamos llamar, para un segundo chequeo y solicitar los estudios previos, teníamos que volver a agendar una cita para sacar nuevos estudios porque de los pasados no había registro.
Consulte con otro veterinario. Era una infección en uno de los dientes que ya se había propagado por no ser atendida desde el momento en el que se le detectó, la infección le atravesó el hocico a mi perro y era imposible que no se le detectara desde antes. Este veterinario literalmente SALVO a mi perro y sigue en cuidados intensivos por esta situación.
Quiero creer que la chica que recién estaba empezando a aprender hizo la limpieza y no lo notó. Entiendo que todos se vuelven expertos con la práctica, pero si recomiendo JAMÁS dejar a un practicante sin supervisión. Porque quiero creer que fue pro esta parte y no por parte directa de la veterinaria que no hizo bien su trabajo o quiso darle seguimiento al caso.
Si no hubiera encontrado a mi nuevo veterinario de cabecera, realmente la situación ahorita seria otra.
This is the only way to release all the anger that medical negligence can cause. I took my chihuahua for a 3rd opinion because of a small ball that had come out under his snout, since in the previous two they had given me a superficial diagnosis without studies and they recommended this place to me because "if they checked even the smallest detail". It should be clarified that I am not a veterinarian and after the two previous failed diagnoses I suggested to the doctor that it could be the teeth.
During the whole process he was with a girl who was asking her what to do, what she suggested, what she recommended... I understand that people who prepare for the same thing need to attend face-to-face cases but this time they only used my dog to experiment .
The nervous girl asked if they should put him to sleep to check him and they made us fill out the same form as everyone else, that in case of not waking up it is our responsibility, etc. After the girl did not know what to say, the doctor suggested prophylaxis, extractions and a sample to see what it was.
To collect, he was up to date (consultation + prophylaxis + studies + medications) he said that it was nothing to do with his teeth, and that everything had to go well with the medication. We called a couple of times to ask for the results of the studies that were never delivered to us and they delayed us saying that they were calling us. I didn't call again because the swelling had gone down and I thought they had finally hit the nail on the head.
A couple of months later it came out again and we tried to call, for a second checkup and request the previous studies, we had to reschedule an appointment to get new studies because there was no record of the past ones.
Check with another vet. It was an infection in one of the teeth that had already spread due to not being treated from the moment it was detected, the infection went through my dog's snout and it was impossible for it not to be detected earlier. This vet literally SAVED my dog and he is still in intensive care for this situation.
I want to believe that the girl who was just starting to learn did the cleaning and didn't notice. I understand that everyone becomes an expert with practice, but I do recommend NEVER leaving a practitioner unattended. Because I want to believe that it was for this part and not for the direct part of the veterinarian who did not do her job well or wanted to follow up on the case.
If I hadn't found my new family vet, the situation would really be different right now.
