Pleasant walk around in peaceful surroundings, it is a nice way to spend an hour. There's a teeny museum showing the cenote they found there.

Second time visiting. Beautiful! Be sure to read the signs telling the history. The grounds around are nice to walk around or just sit and relax. Of course there is the Valladolid sign for a photo op.

An ancient Christian building from the 16th Century that's still being used daily. Fascinating history and a good "step-back-in-time". As we walked up to the 1st floor, we wondered how many other people had walked the same steps in the last 480yrs...

Although not having the opportunity of going inside to take a look at the convent, the outside grounds were pretty clean along with friendly food vendors. There is security within the grounds and were reminded not to stand on the Valladolid sign.

Loved this place. Only 40 peso to enter. Loved the evening show at 9:30 in english with the history and projection on the building. Worth the lite walk.

Valladolid is a beautiful Mexican city with a lovely atmosphere. You will find a plaza with a large cathedral, a monastery, colonial colorful buildings, and even a cenote located in the middle of the city. ? One of the most beautiful streets in Valladolid is Calle de los Frailes, where almost every building is worth a picture! I couldn’t stop shooting! ?? Stay tuned for a blog post about this city with lots of information and tips. ?

I didn’t do my research well and so I didn’t make it inside. Apparently the monastery is closed on Mondays. Just looking form outside was nice though. I wish I had time to stay for the light show.

Excellent experience. Friendly people, beautiful castle, big park, museum and I believe a cenote is here. Sunsets are amazing here and there’s a light show at 9:25 Tuesday through Sunday. The guard at the park said they started it back up. I was here yesterday/Monday but they don’t do it on Monday so I am going to come on Tuesday. It should be incredible!
