★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tiny, smelly, hot, unventilated. Looks like a cramped tiny apartment/train cabin/luggage storage room accommodation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cuca Macuca truly is a home away from home. I was traveling solo but soon found myself in the middle of a big lovely family. The staff is friendly, and the owner will treat you as well as you've ever been treated before. Have any issues? She will be right there to help you with Anything. The hostel, in general, is very nice and superb for the price. Rooms are airconditioned at night and the beds were bigger than other places i stayed. The kitchen area is like a living room, and you continually make friends with other guests. The vibe is amazing. There's an awesome rooftop that i spent quite a lot of time on as a nice getaway, and very serene with the jungle on one side and the ocean on the other.
Would recommend Cuca to anyone looking for an enjoyable and affordable time near the ocean in Puerto Morelos ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really hard to rate this one. Staff is super friendly. Location is top! But (!) even if u want to sleep early there is a tight 9pm to 9am A/C Schedule. Also the facilities are kinda run down. Nevertheless, its okay for a couple of days. Kinda pricey, too considering the state of the rooms. But i guess thats the location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The girl at the front desk was very dedicated to whatever I needed or any of the guests, there was some very cool people there. Valery was the name of the Admin who helped me understand how to move around and made sure that I was having a good time. It's got a great location and I definitely would come back here again. Nice kitchen that makes you feel like you're home. I wish there was an elevator for people who have difficulty going up stairs but other than that, it was great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Didn't get dorm room bed originally booked. Dirty bathrooms little to no water pressure. Pool was dirty. Lockers were broken. All dorms are mixed. Hostel so small no privacy to get dressed and bathrooms are small. Told me no alcohol but I guess if you are a family, a local or not a person of color you were allowed. Rules didn't apply to everyone. The only hostel on the beach side. Do not stay here if you are a person of color. Especially from America. Not my first time staying in a Hostel but the worst I ever been to. Wasn't that friendly to me or helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The wonderful place feels like you are living a fun apartment with your friends. First of all it has great location with amazing views of the ocean, 'jungle' town and especially from the roof deck ( which has a plunge pool) You can even see the sea from the shower! But more importantly it's all the many small things that make a such a huge difference. Sol and Valeria always go the extra mile to make things as comfortable and convenient and functional as possible. I travel alone and at some hostels I can feel out of place. But here everyone mixes and I felt comfortable to be myself !
