Muchas personas podrían decir que ese tipo de gestos se hace para pilotos consagrados en F1 o que quizás por lograr hacer hazaña en un GP. Si bien, Adrián Fernández no consiguió llegar a correr en el campeonato mundial de F1, no lo hizo por falta de ganas, sino porque no existía el camino cimentado para conseguirlo.
Lo que sí consiguió es ser parte fundamental de la cimentación para que pilotos como Sergio Pérez, Esteban Gutierrez y Alfonso Celis llegaran a la máxima categoría, y es que el automovilismo en México se podría ver como un antes y un después de Adrían Fernández ya que consiguió algo muy especial, generar muchísima pasión del público por el deporte motor, basta con asistir a carreras en la actualidad y continuar viendo camisas, playeras y gorras del piloto.
Eso es lo que se le reconoció al “cuate”, acelerar y crecer la afición de toda una generación de mexicanos al deporte motor, en un momento en el que nadie, más que Adrián Fernández lo hubiera conseguido.
