DEEP LIFE DIVERS - 77500 Cancún

I just finished a scuba diving course at Deep Life cancun. A very enjoyable experience , I learned a lot of new things. I selected Cancun as my destination for this trip because the flight prices were cheap and the numerous nice resorts in the area. My intention was to dive for most of my 4 day trip, but an area that I didn't fully research in advance for my first trip to Cancun is that all the diving I wanted to do is 1-2 hours south of Cancun (shark dive = 1hrs drive each way from Cancun in Playa Del Carmen, & Cenotes = 2hrs drive each way from Cancun). Next time I would stay in Playa Del Carmen or Cozumel as my home base on a scuba focused trip (the same provider can coordinate your diving there) I have been diving in the USA, Asia, Central America and the Caribbean and was initially shocked by the relatively higher pricing of each dive in Cancun from all providers...... but you have to consider the transportation cost to the provider if you're traveling 1-2 hours each way from Cancun (if providers in Cancun other than Deep Life offer lower prices there are probably some additional fees or pricing for your particular dive that are not listed on the website). From what I can tell the scuba providers in Cancun are essentially brokers with dive shop/guide partnerships in any area you would like to do scuba. With this function of being essentially a "scuba broker" in mind, the Deep Life team (Eduardo) was very communicative via WhatsApp in advance of the trip and during each day to ensure all went as planned - top notch coordinator. Tip: Reach out via WhatsApp to Deep Life Divers in advance of making a booking. Eduardo speaks/writes perfect English and can help you customize your bookings to your particular needs and diving experience. Dive Day 1: The bull shark dive was really memory worthy, - the sharks are really beautiful creatures. The primary dive guide seemed like she was used to more amateur scuba divers as she was very anxious during the ascent and decent that someone would drift away from guide line or the boat in what was almost an unnoticeable current (our group for the day was 3 advanced certified divers with 100+ dives each). If you are concerned about safety there was a 1:1 staff to diver ratio on this particular dive and the sharks are more pleasant than my partner's pet cat. Dive Day 2: The Cenote dives were also spectacular. I was paired with an very experienced cenote dive master (Rodrigo) who does underwater cave exploration and mapping in his spare time. The guy was a top notch dive master and has plenty of interesting scuba stories to share. He provided detailed briefings before each dive to make sure I felt secure in the new cenote environment and the only surprise during the dive was the beauty of the cenotes. Transportation: The drivers both days were on time and courteous. The vans were large with plenty of storage space and large plastic storage boxes to hold wet gear while in transit.

I’m a relatively inexperienced diver with anxiety. Vicente held my hand the WHOLE DIVE and made me feel like I was the most important person he knew. He was dedicated to me having a positive diving experience. By the way, the cenote dives are not to be missed. Great diving center!!

This place is Awesome. We were down for 8 dives and I could not be more happy with this crew. Vincente and the boat captains are top notch, they took great care of us, both in prepping the dive and underwater. The Photographers Andi and Liz did a great job and gave us some spectacular photos/videos of our dive. Travel to and from was easy. The restaurant at the marina is good and fast. I don't think this dive could have gone any better. I can wait to come down again next year, and do the Cenote caverns.

Eduardo, Alfredo and Javier were fantastic. We had an unforgettable private dive trip to the Dos Ojos Cenote. Highest recommendation!

What an awesome company to go diving with! Firstly the booking experience was effortless, including organising payment while not in the country. We divided as a group of 3, one of my friends was doing his certificate and two of us had already passed and have many dives in different countries around the world under our belt. The fact one of us was learning while 2 of us were already certified was handled in a way that meant we still had a full dive experience with out any wasted time. Our dive master Alberto was fantastic, we felt very taken care of under his watchful eye. I experienced difficulty equalizing on my first dive and Alberto took his time to ensure that I was able to work through it without stress which enabled me too enjoy a second dive issue free. With regards to getting a Paddy open water certificate with this company i would recommend them in a heartbeat! Dedicated, knowledgeable and focused on safety while still keeping it fun and enjoyable! Definitely book with this company if you are looking for a great dive experience!

Eduardo was incredibly helpful with organising our trips around our needs. We had 2 fantastic divemasters across the day (Jerry & Carla) who were very polite, helpful and friendly. When I'm back in Cancun, I'd definitely use Deep Life again :)

Awesome experience! Both instructors are extremely patient and will not force you to do anything you arent comfortable with. They will tell you that you should atleast try it at your pace and comfort level. We had 1 diver with our group who found out it wasnt for them. So they let her snorkel above us instead. They do a shore training which is super informative and lets you build confidence before you dive in open water. They remind all guest to take motion sickness meds. And they feed you a fresh fruit bowl on the boat inbetween dives. I highly recommend this place to anyone thinking about trying scuba or having them as a guide if you are already certified. We are from Texas and had no idea which company to go with. This is the company you wanna use.
