Desire Riviera Maya Resort - 77580 Puerto Morelos

While the service by the employees was great. The one thing that was very annoying and happened several times a day was the nagging to sign up for the premier membership. We have listened to the presentation in the past and wasn't interested. Why must we get hounded to listen to it again and again. Other than that we had an excellent time.

Desire was amazing! My husband and I really enjoyed this beautiful, amazing all-inclusive resort. The beach, jacuzzi, the people, the energy, the hospitality, the club, the staff and the massages were phenomenal. We'll absolutely be visiting again!

14 visits we great. This visit young mgt. Poor service, out of coke and alcohol at several bars during week. Waiter untrained, not the places it used to be. Cutting back on quality and offering for all inclusive. Not good.

Since they take the time to reply, I wanted to edit my 5 stars with more detail. There are people who, truly, make this trip special...In no particular order, Monica, Kevin, Lizzy, Stephy, Leo, and Javi. My wife and I would go to the gym daily around 5-6 and were able to interact with them (not Leo, obviously) in an environment where they didn't have to be "on," and they were still fun and wonderful. Food was great (Desserts could use some work, or so my wife said. I didn't eat them, so I didn't care. :)). One of the staff, Ana, recognized me from our last stay. I'm sure you have some computer reminders for lobby staff, but it was still a special moment...and if you don't have notifications like that set up...wow...give her a raise. The rooms are very average, but if you're going here for the quality of the rooms, you're doing it wrong.

My husband and I spent a portion of our honeymoon at Desire and what an absolutely fantastic time we had. The food was amazing as were the whole team, right from the entertainment crew to the cleaning crew. I highly recommend a trip to this resort, however, it is not for the faint hearted. This is a lifestyle resort, so you will see nudity and people enjoying each other in the middle of the day ?

Read this before you go. We’ve stayed at many all-inclusive resorts and this one was one of the nicest! Staff, beach, facilities, food, drinks! All the some of the best we’ve experienced in the Riviera Maya area. Almost as nice as Pearl. This resort is definitely themed and you may want to consider whether your partner would feel comfortable with the theme here before booking. We didn’t see anything but it does happen. If you want to lay sans-clothes by the ocean or pool this is the place for you. Mostly 20s, 30s, but some 40+ in age. They say it’s “lifestyle” friendly but I would say it’s almost entirely just couples looking for a romantic time. There is private areas that are out of sight that couples can use, so if you don’t want to see anything just don’t go there. There was only one occasion where that rule was broken on the beach but luckily the staff stepped in right away. That’s an easy way to get kicked out. We loved being without clothes at the pool and beach and will return. Also the disco and nightly shows are amazing! The bartenders at the Jacuzzi are also amazing.

It's a great experience. The resort really spares no expense to provide a clean, beautiful, relaxing and very sexy atmosphere. There's something happening all day long and they do a great job keeping things fresh. The food is awesome, the drinks are great and the staff is wonderful. All of that is trumped by the people who come here. They made the experience heaven on earth. If you're looking for an amazing resort of like-minded people to have mind-blowing experience, go.

It's all-inclusive, covering (most) meals and drinks. Wine with dinner is a purchasable extra, for example. The activities of the day are fairly regimented. Waking up early to claim a spot by the pool if you're not Premier club member, or if you want a nice bed on the beach, followed by the morning by the pool, beach, or playing volleyball, and more pool or beach until 4. Don't try to eat between 11:30 and 12...they told us the restaurants were all closed at 11:30 and nothing opened for that next half hour. Picky, maybe, but we caught it at just the wrong time, and for an expensive all-inclusive place, they should always have something readily available, even if it's just snacks (IMHO)...I probably could have gotten room service at that time if I'd have known, but by then it would have taken the half hour to get room service to me, might as well wait. At 4 everyone moves to the hot tub area, where you relax in the warm water while either meeting new friends or visit with those you've already met. Then dinner followed by the evening entertainment. You don't have to follow this schedule...you can, for example, just sit in chairs by the beach all day and night...but if you don't you'll miss out on what's being provided by the resort. If you're not into meeting new people, arrange for multiple couples that are already familiar with each other to go at the same time to maximize enjoyment, but make sure you're confidant spending most, if not all, of your time together if you do. It seems like a resort like this should have more pool space, and more spaces for restaurant reservations (we never could get in to the Asian spot, even though we were there the whole week). All-in-all a great experience, very few things I would change, well worth it. I would do it again (and hope I get to).
