★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is pretty good, but the service was, unfortunately, terrible. I have a 3 year old daughter that fell asleep. I ask for a taxi and our waiter (Marcos) told us to just walk up the street and find one. I then asked for change for a $500 peso bill ($25 USD) and he said they didn’t have change. Really? I asked for the manager and he was too busy on his phone to acknowledge us. I am an American but have lived in Mexico for 9 years now. I’ve never experienced something like this anywhere in the country. If you have kids or just appreciate good service, avoid Dipao; there are plenty of other good places to eat en Valle de Bravo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ BEST restaurant in Valle! The restaurant itself is very cozy and cute! The entire staff was friendly and attentive. The food was all INCREDIBLE especially the Calzone and the desserts...
The pastry chef needs a RAISE! Best desserts I’ve had. The tiramisu, fondant de chocolate and pay de limon were BEYOND DELICIOUS!
Definitely recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The reviews weren`t wrong, Dipao in Valle de Bravo has about the best cheese artichoke I`ve ever tried.
In my case, also opted for the onion soup and the salmon a la siciliana.
I do recommend Dipao for dinner when in Valle de Bravo.
Besides, it is there that I saw the Kansas City Chiefs win the Super Bowl 2020.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In my restaurant rating scale which ranges from zero-to-ten, I'd never given a ten. This was the first time I felt compelled to rate a ten, given the deliciously cooked octopus dish that I had there (which unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of). It was crisp on the outside while tender in the center, with a marinating after taste that was to die-for.
The freshly baked bread served as soon as we sat, in addition to the fine attentive staff and detail that went into all of their dishes, made for a very pleasant--and unexpected--dining experience in this small town up in the mountains of the State of Mexico.
Combine this with a trip to the nearby Monarch Butterflies during the winter months, or a visit to the Great Stupa Valle de Bravo year-round, and you'll have given yourself a beautiful trip to remember.
