Horrible attention, one hour of waiting just to pay a fine, it says that it is open and nobody attends to you, nobody knows anything, terrible citizen attention

Terrible service, they do not give you reports of what time the offices stop working to pay fines, they tell you an hour and since they are traveling they tell you that it is over, they have no idea how much you should pay for infractions, fines They do not have an address, telephone number or contact.

Terrible place; conditions in inhuman separations. Foolish, corrupt, rude officers take advantage of people, violate, cause psychological and physical damage. Authority abuse. They do not give any receipt, any paper that supports the payment of the fine, release or the procedure that is being carried out.

The Human Rights Commission is necessary in this place, the cells of the detainees are in an subhuman state, there are physical abuses against the detainees, and there is also no distribution of the detainees according to their crime. According to all this, there is corruption ..., the administration does not give fiscal evidence to the payment of fines. These fines range from 7 thousand to 10 thousand pesos according to what the officers suspect that you have, for this reason the administration (unlawful pseudo guards) put obstacles to you so that it becomes impossible to carry out your corresponding release process. There is no full respect for human rights in this despotic place.

A very unpleasant experience with the offensive Rota Argüello, who stopped us for an infraction. Eataba driving against traffic in an area without traffic signs. Being that I am a foreigner, I did not know that the street was in one direction. The officer wanted to lie to us saying that I could not use my foreign license (false, I can use my US license for up to three months before having to obtain a local license). When I complained that it was false, instead of understanding that without traffic signs it is impossible to know in which direction you can or can not drive, he got very angry and yelled at me. I complained that I know my rights and that I was only clarifying that I know them. He gave us an infraction (well, I understand it's his job even if he knows he could have helped us and let us know what went wrong and point us in the right direction.) He took one of the license plates and told us that in 15 minutes He would take the command and we could go through it and pay the fine. We went to eat, we spent two hours. Then we came to get the plaque and we had TWO HOURS waiting because Officer Rota Argüello has been so irresponsible that he did not want to bring the plaque on time. He only wanted to take revenge because a foreign citizen knows what his rights are when he is traveling. It is inconceivable the arrogance and the evil of the forces that are supposed to be protective. Between the wait in the restaurant and the wait in the barracks are four hours and who knows how much longer we have to wait for them to bring us the plate.

Horrible people, supposed to serve the public and serve only themselves. Write tickets at whim and treat you badly.

Nightmare in Progresso, Yucatan. We stopped for lunch in Progresso, and got rammed in our vehicle by locals seeking to extort supposed medial damages. The transit police were in on the scam and pressured for 4 hours in a windowless room to sign a declaration of guilt. Horrible nightmare of petty corruption and abuse of authority. Spread the word. Nasty, nasty, stay away.
