DIVETULUM - 77760 Tulum

I’m giving this dive shop 3 stars because most of the gear was outdated and it was not a very professional shop. When I came in, the owner said he would be taking me on the dive trip. He wanted to know right away if I was interested in going (fair enough, it was 4:30pm, but the shop doesn’t close until 9pm). So I said yes. I told him I didn’t have a dive computer and he said he would let me borrow one. In his defense, I showed up 15 min late, and my gear was already in the truck. The BCD was fine. The wetsuit was fairly worn, but worked. The octopus was outdated; it had a non-functioning depth gauge and a child size mouth piece. I will say my guide (who was not the owner) was great, I felt safe and comfortable the whole time. He took me to Angelita and Temple of Doom, both were epic dives. I had a fantastic day of diving, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this shop.

Me and my friend had a great time diving with Dive Tulum. I dove Dos Ojos and El Pit while my friend did her discovering scuba in Casa Cenote and the ocean. We each had our own private dive master! They were very flexible in setting up our dives and payments and exceptionally friendly. Liz and Fernando were very safety conscious and attentive to customer experience. Can’t wait to come back!

I walked around in Tulum figuring out who to dive with and I got a nice welcome and a good explanation of the dives and the very good deals at Dive Tulum so I ended up choosing them. I did five cenote dives with Anthony and we had a great time. I’m an experienced divemaster and I could tell it was safe and well planned diving. I wish I could have done more dives but the weather wasn’t great at the time. He took me to the ones where the conditions were the best and I got to experience everything I had in mind before going. I would definitely dive with Anthony again! He’s been all over the world diving and knows what it’s about.

Have dive in few diving centers in Tulum and this is the best experience we have so far. The diving sites were awesome and the diving master Roman was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable.

My wife and I dove with DiveTulum in April 2021. Our dive master was Roman, very experienced and professional guy. We went to Angelita and Carwash. Awesome dive sites and outstanding experience! Strongly recommend it!

Randomly found this shop on maps and I'm glad I did, the evening before I called and told them I wanted to dive the next morning and they made it work! Dove two cenotes with Roman and he's very patient. The first dive to the pit I had a problem equalizing and he stopped and helped me and then we proceeded on. He had extensive knowledge on the sites we went to. Highly recommend this dive shop.

Roman was a great dive guide. He explained both our dives excellently, had good knowledge of the local area, and generally looked after us really well. Equipment was good quality too.

Absolutely recommendable!!!! I did the two dives in Dos Ojos and one in The Pit. The guide is a diving legend of the area, with a lot of experience. They have the best prices and totally reliable!
